Again its based entirely if gaijin goes the lazy route like they did with the gripens. If they do then yes the A will be kinda worthless since it could be a fairly unique vehicle. Again it would require gaijin to not add the A at the same time as the C’s
Additionally this depends on if gaijin adds the MLU 2 to nations in order to add CAS. If they add the f18 on finland and the swiss with cas then it wouldn’t be accurate to have the early C model with cas.
I unironically think the F/A-18 would have a broken FM, despite their lack of impressive top speed and high speed mobility IRL. Strake with swept trapezoidal was the design of some notoriously manuverable aircrafts in war thunder, namely F-5A/C/E, F-16A/C/D and JF-17. Another design that provides an equally stunning performance would be delta+canard, demonstrated by kfir C.2/C.7, gripens and J-10. Edit: well, the latter was however known for their mobility IRL too.
I do have F/A-18C DLC purchased but my computer cannot run the simulator. It has the ability to do that IRL, albeit American, its an American air tech so it will get what it would.
The T_90A trophy is not the Russian t_90A as they use different names as place holders and since they were on their test server they just made sure to misdirect everyone.
So what we are getting is the M1A2Sep3 that will have its trophy system or the Sep2 with the trophy system on it
General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) awarded a $280m indefinite delivery and indefinite quantity contract in July of the same year to supply Trophy ready kits in the form of APS for the M1A2 SEPv2 and M1A2 SEPv3 Abrams tanks.
Also more tech trees could see the Abrams come rolling in
Australia sale of the SepV3 was approved by the US State Department in April 2021
The US Department of Defense approved the sale of 250 Abrams M1A2 SEPv3 tanks to Poland in February 2022. The US Army placed a $1.1bn FMS order with GDLS to deliver the tanks to Poland in August 2022.
The US government approved the sale of 54 Abrams M1A2 SEPv3 MBTs and related equipment to Romania for $2.53bn in November 2023
In March 2024, the US government approved an order for 50 M1A2 SEPv3 Abrams MBTs and related equipment to Bahrain for $2.2bn
So the UK could in theory get an Ausi Abrams, and Italy could also get a Poland Abrams.
The only official thing we’ve been told is that the trophy T-90A does indeed exist on the test server and that vehicles can be added to the test server for various reasons, but still might not be added to the actual game
Watching the Dev streams they constantly say the BR is not set on test servers and the names are place holders as well. One stream i forget which one but the name of one of the vehicles was completely different and the br was different and they said it was a place holder.
So knowing they would be showing this info on screen for this update and the next update comes soon after they would defiantly not just let that slip from on official source. The APS for the Abrams is called the Trophy system, and on top of that they have made it clear that none of the current world event stuff going on would make it into the game right now. So adding the T90 to the American tree, the Russians would get the Abrams and the Leopards otherwise it would cause complete chaos with everyone blowing up about favoritism ect ect.
So just a theory ive put together with all the information that is at hand. I could be completely wrong but i do hope im at least 60% right lol
Or in the future F/A-18A maybe new premium pack (pre-order) and F/A-18C Early for researchable tree to attack aircraft line in USA tech tree
Finnish F/A-18C MLU 2 after MLU 1 on finnish line to sweden tech tree
The F/A-18C early model from swiss unlike F/A-18C early for USN version because limited infrared Air-to-Air Missile only but without medium-range guided missile & laser designator targeting pod and none Air-to-Ground armament
