This is the R.511 missile, which is really only useful against bombers and unaware people so it won’t be great for that but IIRC it had an upgraded engine as well.
Stick it at 8.3 or 8.7 and have it hunt down tiered starfighters who can’t outrun the missile lol
It actually can be really maneuverable. I shot down maneuvering sabres with it. The low speed make it have a good turn rate without hitting it’s G limit. Maybe the twist-and-turn mechanic has somethi g to do with it too.
But even without that, in sim no one has rwr at that Br so it often doesn’t even come down to maneuvering.
Are there plans to rework TOW missiles they are currently massively underperforming unable to defeat armour they were designed to defeat. TOW-2B is a disgrace and should have been fixed by now. Why are you so scared of giving NATO nations a missile that works???

i have everyone of them except the hei/tei from china (curse you gaijin for not giving that to us japanese mains, would be my fav Ki 45) and at least with the G4, Ju 388 and Ki 45 tei i scored a few kills(RB and SB).
not sure with the Do 217 but i think i got kills with it to despite it beeing the worst one(i hate that 70° ish angle upwards so much paired with a heavy airframe).
but i want the more agile/faster/smaller nightfighter variants japan has to offer.
Small tip: normally you need to activate the Schräge Musik and you look upwards wich makes the plane harder to steer, at least for me.
But if you select the Schräge Musik over the weapon selector you can shoot it while having the regular view wich makes it easier to use in a turn.
This works bedder with the japanes ones since they have only a 45° angle i think.
