Thank wasn’t 100% sure and did’nt want to say the wrong thing

Who dat?

The Saeqeh, an Iranian modification of the F-5.

Its a HESA Saeqeh, an Iranian F-5 derivative. The twin tail is a good look on that airframe.

Airliners turned into Bombers are fun.

Love using the Fw 200 ingame

It’s basically an aim-97 seekbat. The Seekbat used a larger propulsion unit than the AGM-78, and supplemented the latter’s radar seeker with an infrared homing device. And It’s basically an RIM-66.)

That’s the awaited december tech tree addition actually

We need this so much, I’m working on a suggestion for the Me P.1101 rn

Honestly i have absolutely no idea why It’s not in-game yet, perhaps another case of germany suffers? I’m not sure the devs could even explain why it’s not in game, we’ve never gotten a statement from gaijin’s staff on it despite it being passed to the developers like 5 years ago.

Because the missiles aren’t AESA. The F-2 still uses AIM-7 and AAM-4 that are PD.

While AAM-4 does have combined datalink input with its own seeker that could negate this, even that is held back by two factors:

  • Gaijin hasn’t added that feature yet, even if the F-15J(M) has the J/ARG-1 for it
  • Early F-2As lack J/ARG-1 completely, which not only means no AESA datalink guidance after AAM-4 seeker tracks, but no datalink at all

So unless they add J/ARG-1 functionality and a late F-2 with J/ARG-1 mounted, or add AAM-4B AESA seeker missiles, the radar will not be much of an issue. Instead the F-2s strength would be that it is a significantly more agile version of the best dogfighter in game while carrying more and better missiles.

It would have just a bit more, since unlike early F-2s it has datalink for the ARH missiles, slightly better thrust to weight and carries 6 AMRAAMs while the F-2s capability to carry 6 AAM-4 is unconfirmed.

That being said, if the F-2 is allowed to bring GCS-1, JDAM and ASM-2s for CAS (even LJDAM and ASM-3 in later variants) it might not be too far behind there.

WT should honestly think about adding the F/A-18A+ in the next update. The J-10A is a early 2000s built aircraft yet the A model came in the early 80s!

Once again - dates means nothing, only their capability. Is F/A-18A+ is of similar performance and capabilities of J-10A (Early) (no idea why it “Early”, but meh) and other top tiers?

I was really hoping for an Iranian tech tree, but now the chance of that after the F-14 is basically zero :(

I predict gaijin could add F/A-18A basic or F/A-18C Early (USN) in late 80’s before legacy Hornet with AIM-120 AMRAAM

J-10A (Early) on stat card ?

I’m not sure about this

I mean isn’t it one of the most logical trees to add next ?

Plus Poland is on there radar but we haven’t seen it yet. lol

Dunno. I’d say they’d go with something that either has a large player base but no represented nation OR countries that saw relatively much conflict with their airforces. Think Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, India or some of those combined (obviously not all) with some filler nations from their areas/alliances added to it.

Was there a new nation hinted/teased to be being worked on?

I assume czechoslovakia or the koreas due to the groundswell of support.

Granted gaijin is terrible at understanding what its fans want.
