Yea as @MAUSWAFFE said, the F-2 is essentially able to outpull the F-16A/C thanks to FBW enhancements and better wing area (as well as higher G limits as +12 translates to +18g in WT for the F-2 as opposed to just 13.5g for F-16C). It might even rate comparably at similar fuel loads.
Also the T/W isn’t that far off either (1.1 for F-16C vs 1.05 for F-2A at same fuel loads, which is 3200 kg or 50% F-16C fuel load). The real disadvantage the F-2 would have in flight performance is speed. It has more drag and will be slower so it can’t out run everything.
If Italy didn’t receive Hungary as a subtree, maybe we would have Visegrad and Balkan TTs, but I doubt anything will change now. Italy could get Switzerland in this case and/or Spain.
Italy will props get Spain while Germany will get the Swiss.
As for Visegrad Poland would defo be the main for sure, but who will be the main sub Czechoslovakia ?
And who will be the smaller subs, we can’t have Ukraine atm so perhaps Lithuania ?
At the very least, even if they had to screw up a potential east euro tree, they could have gone with Romania because theyre also a latin ethnic group.
idk if ppl would agree with, but they prob should’ve done the big bombers if they’re doing bombers update. planes like B-52, Tu-95, Xian H-6, Vulcan. Or maybe even supersonic ones, B-1 Lancer, Tu-160. I would love for one of these to be in the game… This update was like the F-15 and AV-8 update… varients. They could fix this update by giving the f-111’s the pylons the F-111A has.
Romania doesn’t have top tier MBT of 2A7 level + it doesn’t have heavy tanks apart from captured IS-2 iirc (though looking how they seized Tigris behind paywall not much would change, unless they add Hungarian IS-2 in the regular TT).
Romania could work well with Spain imo. On the other hand most of Soviet build copypaste which we’ve got from Hungary was as well used by Romania, so Gaijin wouldn’t lose the chance to copypaste lol
With Romania instead of Hungary we would have same MiG-15bis/17PF/21MF/23MF/29, IL-10/28 and 2S1 at least)
For me personally, outside the ten we have, other independent ones in an ideal but not realistic situation would be, in this order: Yugoslavia, Visegrad, United Korea, BeNeLux + Switzerland, Arab League/Arab-Iran, Canada + ANZAC, and LATAM.
Yeah, I mean “what if”, Hungary goes to Visegrad. Romania to Yugoslavia, Switzerland would actually be a perfect subtree for Italy imo with their multiple ground vehicles including SAMs and only missing a heavy tank, though on the other hand they don’t have 2A7 or equivalents…
But I guess it’s a useless discussion right now anyway, Italy has Romania and Hungary, Germany has Switzerland, while France has Benelux.
Yugoslavia can still come by its own (maybe with some other Balkan countries), while Poland can be a place for other Eastern Europe countries even regardless of Visegrad.
