Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

good morning everyone I miss anything else besides the whole leak list

Gaijin will not add all the vehicles you presented, maximum 30% percent will get into the game. At the same time, as Godvana already said, too many problems are created when forming the Swiss research tree (Complete lack of a fleet, No combat helicopters, such as Mi-28, Apache, etc., No main battle tank that would be interesting to the masses of players and all in the same spirit).

I’ve always wondered why people push Austria and Switzerland, but refuse Germany? Considering that they are essentially the same people, but with different views on identity.

Hope Japan gets vt4. You won’t like it though.

I still find it really funny that it was gonna be okay for Japan to get VT-4s OPLOT-T and leopard 2s on top of their type 90s and type 10s, but the community freaked out when British players asked for a single leopard or abrams

VT-4 right now is hilariously inaccurate to what it is supposed to be irl.

The Abrams the British players were asking for is one that’s already located on the U.S tree and which people have grinded and/or purchased for the American lineups and who naturally have no interest in having their tank taken away to another tree.

Also, VT4 and OPLOT would be complementary tanks merely, OPLOT being brand new to the game, while the Abrams would unironically be the best MBT in the British tree, which is sad. U.K needs Challenger fixes above all, not to get a copy-paste taken away from another nation to save it.

If we are going by numbers, U.K has 6x Challenger 2s, Challenger 3 (TD), and they still got left at least 3x Challenger 3 variants and a couple more Challenger 2
s; while Japan has nothing going for them anymore after their 3 Type 10s and 2 Type 90s.

Austria and Switzerland are not German, by no metric

Hello @Smin1080p_WT

Quick question about game mechanics: we are more and more into radar era, and it seems target size has no influence on the game.

Is there any game mechanics plans to include equivalent radar surface on objects? I believe this could influence the detection range depending on the position of the object regarding the radar, the ability for a missile to loose a target among flares, and so on

Let’s say, a F-22 (not in game and probably not for the next update) is supposed to have a low radar area in frontal aspect while maybe higher from the side or the rear. And a Tu-4 should be locked at 100km (I might exagerate) even with an early radar with low range as its radar area is huge

Thanks,

RCS is already somewhat modeled in the game.

as we have seen with the confirmation of the skink going to america as well we could very much get the M1 AIM as well

I agree its sad but gaijin will never fix the challengers, the british community have desperately tried to get them to fix it and it has only resulted in nerfs, I am not delusional enough to think gaijin will actually fix the tanks. I would much rather just get a leopard or am abrams because I know damn well they will be actually good tanks

yet pretty much every single one of those challenger 2s are inferior to the type 10s, sure armour isnt that great but I would much rather have a far more mobile tank with a 4 second reload and a very good round

They do but who here would trade his Type 10 for a CR2…

Unless Britain receive an export tank they will never have a top tier tank equal to that of the M1A2/Leopard 2.

France are having a Leopard 2 forced on them as Italy have previously. We are only delaying the inevitable

Is it? Do we have data for this?

which I find hilarious that britian could have been give the same treatment but we are getting sub par centurion modernisations and terrible indian modifications of already bad russian tanks

I think it might be modelled on more modern helicopters could be wrong

I dont like the solution (give smaller nations a top tier export tank) But seeing the “issues” we have with recent editions for these trees CR3 (TD). It seems this is the only way.

By now though that leaves the Leopard 2A6M in Canadian service and hell will freeze over before a German main would be happy with that going to another tree.

funny enough some i have talked to were fine with the 2A6M going to britain because its not a unqiue version of the tank, the reason the 2A4M was such a sore spot because it was a unique version germany never had their own counterpart to

I’m really wondering what we will get this update. And with the event for anniversary as well. Hopefully some more flying boats for the update.

Maybe the tank itself is a loaned Leopard 2A6 from the Bundeswehr…Feels like a hard sell

The inevitable 2A8 update will have gifts for everyone :p

Bruh, rude, Centurions for days, Centurions for life. Vickers MBTs forevah!.

Also, Indian armour could actually be interesting, if we got the stuff based on UK armour for them/more domestic. Though TBF, the T90 India pushed through with the Russians was a pretty chunky improvement on the T90 original that the Russians had planned IIRC.

Gaijin just havent really picked the interesting/potentially good/cool vehicles sadge.

FR though, the UKs actual interesting point really is 7.0-9.7 for GRB, just gaijin seems to have hopped over it so far for the most part, backfilling there would be really interesting given the UKs cold war crazy plans and ideas. Too much focus on tip top tier.
