that one is much better than AIM-120A/B
it would mean they’d have to add AIM-120C, but that one has a larger range than R-77-1 again
you can keep going and complain that someone has a missile with a different range and all that’ll do is offset the Imbalance in another Direction
the easiest option and the current solution are that Su-27SM just gets more ARH than anyone else, your missiles are worse but you get 2 more

1 MAJOR vehicle, that means you got one vehicle that everyone is like “ooh shiny” about but the update includes a ton more vehicles that very few people pay attention to.
I bet you didn’t know that the Lancia3Ro was added in update danger zone.
of course, its the best vehicle from the update!
it was the first one I researched (even tho I don’t play italy much) and it’s the most fun one out of the whole season

Fun fact! The Lancia’s HESH can OSK any 12.0 MBT, except ironically it cannot OSK the challenger. Yes I said OSK, if you search for those 2 pixels you can kill a surprising amount of crew members.
Take this with a grain of salt though it was me goofing around in protection analysis for like 30 minutes.
Very few if any mods were made by the soviets. It was however afaik the one Omaha class with the most AA fitted so it will at least be distinct in that regard.
so we go from 6 missiles that cant hit anything to 8 that cant hit anything, i played the mirage recently even micas felt amazing compared to r77, much better acceleration and thrust vectoring for shots that r77 would never hit, even range felt better

77-1 would have marginally less range than C5 but still very draggy at low altitude

I wonder if theyre gonna have a way to model the varying seekers for different wavelengths, like the Martel which had to have its seeker swapped out for different wavelengths.
Probably like choosing a different variant of the missile or some sort of selectable tab to switch it out.

The things i hear is that Russian equipment ingame on average is better then IRL, better placed br’s and overall more competitive to Gaijin their take on counterparts from other nations.
R-77s are indeed inferior on paper, but they are still pretty decent close-in. After all, the Su-27SM has exactly two datalinks, so it is effectively useless in BVR anyways.
