The Chinese missle goes 720 m/s which is ineffective against long range targets. Since other SPAA’s can get them before you. Not to think about the wobble of the rocket which makes it sometimes hard to use. The rocket goes up first, so for close combat its useless.
these gaps have been here for multiple nations for years, the Pantsir was added a year and a half ago and no one else has received a SPAA that is anywhere near as good.
I disagree, I think Japan and France bluewater are good. They just have different strong points.
Japan relies on torpedo plays for early bluewater vessels. Use their high speed to close in and barrage the enemy when they can’t dodge. The long lances are extremely powerful for this but the other torpedoes can do good work too.
Later bluewater vessels like cruisers all feature torpedoes for the same reason. Some of the light cruisers aren’t great, but eventually you’ll get to Suzuya with a high fire volume. The Heavy cruisers have a good fire volume too, and again, all of these vessels pack torpedoes.
France is a slightly different story. AA defense generally isn’t great but you get very high speed. The contre-torpilleurs are excellent scouts and great at brawling with smaller destroyers or flanking. Once again, the early light cruisers (Primaguet) suck but Emile Bertin is awesome, super fast with powerful guns and decent torpedoes. Colbert is a kind of mid all-arounder for a heavy cruiser, but once the MN gets Algiere they’re going to slay
Japanese are not that bad compared to brits. Yes their destroyers are made from paper but they have decent coastal with APHE frigates + their boats are actually survivable.
French tree sucks because of the copy pasting of the same boat 4 times. However higher tiers are fine
Unfortunately the power of the WT engine right now is insufficient to factor in either wind or ship roll due to wave action into decreasing the accuracy of firing solutions, so it would be cosmetic at best. Still cool though.
(Surface search radars also being implemented would be great for night action as well.)
Britain just received a new SPAA to fill a gap just last major. America will be next in line to have SPAA gaps closed up as we already mentioned. Type 81 was added for Japan just last year and France and Israel have also had several AA gaps closed up since then too. We are constantly working on closing these gaps.
Sadly not every nation has a 1:1 couterpart to Pantsir.
Personally the Tor feels nice, the only issue I had with it was the one that automatically switched targets when too many appeared, but that’s fixed now.
Queen (then Princess at 17) Elizabeth in her speech as she launched HMS Vanguard: ‘"It is hard to believe that man has been able to construct such a magnificent ship.’
you get 4 or 8 depending if they have an internal storage.
Just a few torpedoes. Fire volume?? Usually 3-4 gun turrets with a 15-20 second reload per gun. No fast aim guiding system, so you have to wait for that as well.
Yes, they are. With a 10-15 second reload and a SAP round that almost does nothing.
The only way to kill is to hit the upper deck with HE rounds and inflict fires.
They are fast, thats the only good thing IMHO because there turret treverse doesnt make them good flankers IMHO.
with how gaijin has done editions it almost feels like no one has a counterpart to it and maybe it shouldn’t have been added when it was
and I would argue the Stormer AD didn’t fill a gap in terms of br more in terms of a mechanic, since the uk was one of the only nations to not have an IR guided SAM
