They should be in theory Indonesian, would be interesting if it is the modernized version
I mean that’s the thing it’s most probably an ASEAN subtree
They’ll probably add the premium JH-7 i guess
To honor the ancient tradition and drag the thread off-topic;
what are everyones feelings in regard to machines employed by a nation, but only present in other tech trees? (for instance: long barreled M109 for Ger/short barreled M109 for US; Meteor NF for UK etc.) Do you guys care or is it seen as a non-issue?
it can detect and track ground and naval targets
but it’s modelled and it allows you to detect targets
half the Western attackers don’t havethis even tho they should
the Tornado IDS and Buccaneers are a prime example here
even if all it does is show me where the tank could be that’s more than right now
Its a radar and it certainly scans. Doesnt really have a whole lot else going on…
Yes and no. Arms deal is as global as ever, and it is common to see export vehicles better than the developers own. VT4B, L2A7HU, and we will see the F-15QA or F-39E gripen NG in the future etc. Then there are the not-so-arms deal procurement such as bartered(eg, T-80U, T-72M and T-10-8 which China brought from Romania and Ukraine), captured vehicles and transferred vehicles etc. They rightfully deserve a place in game.
The caveat is that, these should also be the last resort, were the said nations not be able to provide in-service or prototype models for that BR. For the M109s as an example, it can be clearly argued that the British FV433 Abbot can be a good alternative to the M109A1 RA, while the Italians had the unique M109L upgrade(the palmaria however, is meant to be quite better), and Israel with the wonky M51 ro’em.
As @Morvran has pointed out, they also need to be within the lines of a similar playstyle, unless they are under the name of a subtree.
yes but
it was deemded useless and impossible to add for everything western made and suddenly the russians just get it like that without even any note on it
it’s just there as if it was no problem at all
I don’t think they even ever commented on ground and naval radar
Cough cough daring
AS-90 is probably the better choice than the Abbot withwise to a 155mm SPH
It can detect, they cant track unlike what he claimed on the comment that i am quoting, that was my point.
I think he means ship to ship naval radar tracking, and not Anti-air radar. A fair few things have that like Daring and Tiger. But Belfast infamously drove off Scharnhorst because it had far superior radar
The AS90 would naturally be at a higher BR, but they would be fun, with those 3-rd burst.
I am aware I can test fly ir
your point is irrelevant to the discussion and to the reson for complaint
it’s there and it does things, the others don’t get that treatment for no reason at all
he was asking that if it can lock i said it doesnt how is that irrelevant?
someone else already said that
Gonna be honest. air to ground/surface search radars only really have a use in SIM, and as much as i would love more of them and proper implementation in general (and SIM to be fun) its not really as big a deal as people are making it out to be.
it doesn’t seem to be hard when 3 planes just got them just like that
if they’re not added for irrelevance reasons rhen why do those get them?
why not just C&P them if they’re not that important?
its there it’s already modelled
