Also, from atleast 2021 onwards this PRC naval flag had been in the CDK - keep in mind that before customizable flags were added at the end of 2023, these kind of textures were directly part of the visual model of the vehicle and only added by the necessity of a ship being added that didn’t use an existing one, e.g. Egypt. W/ the sole exception being this one.
AI behaviours related to player-controlled Aircraft Carriers were added here, in 2022:
And control input buttons were added in 2023:
Between those two additions, WT Mobile was released w/ player aircraft carriers in it 's files. Including some which were later added here to WT, currently used as AI map assets ( HMS Illustrious(87), USS Lexington(CV-2) ).
The controls they use have noticeable similarity to the ones in the files here, which further supports the idea that they are for player control of carriers.
Of course it’s nonsense for him, better add every nation as standalone and sell as much pre-orders as possible ;)
I guess all subtrees are disappointment for grom.
I think Spain would ideally be implemented like Israel; Rank V onwards!
It has enough vehicles at Ranks I to IV, but would mostly be uninteresting copy-pastes. Although, to be fair, that would be the case of China as well, and it wasn’t implemented like that.
From Rank V onwards, it would all be either domestic variants or highly modified versions; so at least it would be unique enough- and the Top BRs would be among the best in the game as well (except for Naval, that would be terrible, lmao. We only had 6.3-level Dreadnoughts at most.)
Alternatively, Gaijin could make an Iberian tech tree; Spain + Portugal. That way, Portugal would fill in whatever Spain would be missing by itself.
As far as I know, just Panzer IV Hs, StuG III Gs, Chaffees, Bulldogs, and then we jump straight into Pattons… there would be a couple native designs though, like the Verdejas.
Only from the 1960s onwards there are truly heavy native/local modifications and variants.
Air would be slightly more interesting on the lower ranks though, with the HA-1109s and HA-1112s, etc!
Skins can work both ways, but when they were in the files they were compatible w/ the existing variants of these vehicles, which is how these screenshots were made. Except the SB-2M, which has it 's own .blkx file and is therfore fully independent from it 's counterpart.
Here 's an example of an incompatible skin, the chinese B-24M:
Interesting! It wouldn’t mean much either anyway; for example, Strv 122A shares lots of common templates with Leopard 2A5, Strv 121 with Leopard 2A4, etc.
If we take in account the Spanish civil war, we can even add some BT-5, T-26, Pz.II and other very unique vehicle like AAC-37 and other random WW1 / Inter-war design
