Ugh… no leaks, no dev blogs… the wait for the next update is being specially tedious to me, specially since last update didn’t bring any vehicle I could have been particularly interested in xD (besides Tennessee, which turned out a disaster because of Gaijin’s shenanigans).

Yeah, same here. Ive had no interest to grind the DW or Stormer AD yet nor have I got the F-111C. I’ve barely finished spading the FA2 and ive done 1 match in the F3 late.
Absolutely nothing from this year so far that has interested me enough to actually play the game for more than a few brief intervals. FA2 should have done… but its barely been added yet.

Yeah it did, i saw this in Robert Forsyth’s “Luftwaffe emergency fighters” it has a lot of info on the Me P.1101

Even if it really never flew, at some point they’ll run outta stuff to add and change their stance on paper planes.

As a ground player I had all the new stuff from this update that I was interested in done about a week after the update release lol.
Thats was always my approach on Luft46 stuff, however the Me P.1101 flew as the Bell X-5 so it has more chance compared to the Ta-183 or Me P.1112 for example

Ironically this update has been the first one that added anything interesting to me out of all of them this year. I’ve been greatly enjoying the T1E1 (90) and US 5.7 to the point it’s replaced the jumbo.
I’ve been working toward the Stormer AD but I haven’t played much UK ground so that’s been moving slowly. And as much as I want the F-111C I’m nowhere near.
Same, I get the restriction on “paper planes” but for some reason I hypocritically would accept Luft 46 stuff.
Maybe the whole “no paper planes” thing is just a rule to instantly shut down any request for unrealistic stuff. If it can be judged that something WOULD have flown if production advanced a bit on it and the info on it seem like it would’ve been feasible maybe then they should just add it.
Planned evolutions of Me262’s or the P.1101 would make sense. The Silbervogel maybe not so much…
Just have a sensible approach to it and it wouldn’t be game breaking in my opinion. Atleast not since the matchmaker creates the craziest alliances anyways…

It’s a shame they didn’t consider your suggestions. Japan would be much more balanced and without that gigantic hole we see in aviation.

Eh, I get the appeal, but I would rather keep the game restricted to actually build airframes, with maybe some leniency regarding armament. Stuff like the Me 309/Me 209 for instance I would like to see.
The P.1101 might be an edge case, with the Burgers completing one, but seeing complete teams of Luft '46 would feel even more wrong than the game already does
It’s really not hypocritical to do so! It’s just the best thing to sit down, fly in your Me 262 HGII and wonder what would have happened if the war lasted even just 2 month longer, what great battles between the Ta-183 and the Gloster Meteor or P-80 could have happened, What-ifs are genuinely the most entertaining history questions. In my opinion it would be awesome to allow those machines that were never able to fly, not for technological reasons, but just because the war didn’t last long enough (thankfully so!) to finally take to the skies and prove themselves in a realistic game like war thunder.
Israel and Germany vs every other nation moment…
