Hopefully there is a bit of a shakeup of the top tier MBT meta in general and not just 1 or 2 new Leos.
Top tier MBT meta has become pretty stale. The 2A7s/122s have been leading the pack for 2 years now and the overall MBT rankings have barely changed in those 2 years as well.

My friend that’ll never happen lmao leopard 2s will pretty much always be the most meta especially when we start talking about modern stuff like 2a8s with dm83 (what can pen Relikt)

The abrams is extraordinary because it has incredible mobility and firepower while still having good enough armor and survivability.
Armor and survivability are only worth anything at top tier when it’s combined with good mobility, good firepower or both. This is why the uparmored Leo 2s are better than the Abrams while the T-80BVM and especially the T-90M are easily worse than the Abrams.
It’s the whole skill ceiling vs skill floor argument. I have close to a 3 K/D in my M1A2T, something I could never even dream to replicate in a T-80BVM or T-90M.
Exactly, therefore armor and survivability DO matter.
I merely want all nations, including the U.S, to finally have true Leopard 2A7/Strv 122 counterparts (including Germany, which had only 1 vs Sweden’s 3), I don’t understand why it’s somehow an issue.

They don’t need to be 1:1, being close enough would be enough; in China’s case, there’s still a lot of issues to be solved, like missing spall liners and underperforming main shell.
Russia can get some Object thingies or T-14 for all I care xD
The rest of the nations, with enough bug fixes and still a reload advantage, shouldn’t fall behind by as much as they currently do.

A meta shake up doesn’t mean there has to be a new king, having more MBTs to at least contest the top spot is already enough.
Any shake up where we go from “the 2A7/122s are easily the best top tier MBTs” to “the 2A7/122 are the best, but some tanks are close behind” is already good. Maybe this also forces 2A7/122 players to actually learn the game again.
SEPv3 should at least give the 2A7/122 a good fight.
I do. Which means I seriously have to limit my playstyle, play against all my personal strengths as a player and thus perform worse.
And yet both probably wouldn’t preform close lmao china is kinda dead for mbts now I mean there’s the type 100 but that would probably come alongside 2a8 so leopard supremacy

Mostly because the 2A7/122s have numbed their player’s brains. Giving them actual competition will also benefit German and Swedish players.
T90M2 (T14 i dont see happening before the KF51 etc), and the new chinese MBT i forgot the name
All the Asian countries that use leopard for the most part have already been added and tbh most aren’t a 122 or leopard counterparts use to the terrain favoring lighter mbts like the 2a4 modernization
They have to make it first lmao and the Chinese mbt is the type 100 but that would come with next gen mbts kf51 2a8 and whatnot
Some counterparts are only missing because existing tanks have inaccurate armor characteristics
