It could be a fun vehicle unfortunately gaijin added the weight and 15 extra HP from the 2006 expo model while keeping it a 2002 model.

I just flick therms on to check for targets quickly rather than keeping them on, helps if I need to check dead tanks quickly to see if any are unburnt
To be honest, I agree with all of you guys’ reasoning about the M1A2 SEP V3 not being a substantial upgrade from the SEP V2, which is true, but as an American main that plays only in the U.S., some Russia, and Sweden. It hurts me to see the U.S. struggling so much in top tier, all the while getting destroyed by any nation it is put up against. Yes, the win rate is just above 40% right now, which is still abysmal, but it is better than it was in the 30s a couple of months ago. In my opinion, even though the SEP v3 wouldn’t objectively change much, I think it would be a nice refresh to the US top-tier tech trees, since they pretty much haven’t got anything new tank-wise in 3+ years. I mostly want it because I feel that the devs might try to at least make an attempt this time on making a more realistic armor profile for it on top of its APS for countering Russian and any other helicopter/fixed-wing aircraft cas.
