and to clarify something i am an USSR main i have done the 100% of the ground TT, and loved it but putting more spaa when you don’t need them specially when other TTs have gaps of almost 3 br deference (Israel 9.3-12.7, Britain 5.3-8.3 and many more) in their SPAA line its beyond me

I know yall like to keep joking about “hehe bukmk3 underperforming yeah yeah totally” but… it quite literally was the overall worst performing, even the Elde had far better stats, but going straight to sm-sv is yeah no

i was fine with the BUK i never saw any problem
The radar is absolute trash, its so big it quite literally cannot be hidden on any map, and the missiles pull unecessary G randomly and make it more like a 15km range spaa

What makes the Buk worse than others ARH spaas? You defeat their missiles the same way as all other ARH ones, but some doesnt have the benefit of having a big Warhead and multiple radars (Sky Sabre) and others have a HUGE minimun engagement range (Type 03)
Pantsir SM wasnt needed, the same way OG Pantsir wasnt needed when it was added
Im not denying this, we needed buk fixes if anything, and i quite literally mentioned 2 things alone regarding the radar and missile above

Doesnt help that the Buks radar is big enough that its literally impossible to miss it with an HE, like beyond impossible and it being pretty damn horrible, by the time your radar did a refresh the target is basically already giving you a handshake lol

thats why you have a radar in the missiles launcher something that other spaa dont
It takes nearly 5 seconds to do 360 deg rotation on it,yeah. And if you use the launcher radar,that one doesnt have IFF so you dont know what missiles to launch at that might be coming on you to destroy them.
thats why you dont use the inside radar (c+r) you use it in the outside and you see where you fire
That still doesnt change the fact Buk is garbage and i will keep using Pantsir S1 until i get the SM one instead of the Buk. Its probably second worst ARH SPAA right after HQ-11 tied with Type 03.
i dont know i really enjoyed it, it was bad to destroy munitions but it is good against planes and helis
I mean it just proves the buk is absolute garbage, the big radar sucks and when that one is dead u are still done for, your onboard tracking radar on the launchers isnt gonna help much and just make u a guaranteed kill, the missiles arent really good
SACLOS SPAA is best against helis tho,cause you arent victim of LDRICM and ARH not fusing and ignoring the return of helis. Remember that in WT you can hover in Harrier in few km,and the ARHs will fly harmlessly past you.
