Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1) (Part 1)

I am convinced sound mods are never coming back.

@Smin1080p_WT Is there any chance that the s300/patriot will be added as playable SAM vehicles in ground RB to counter the higher tier aircraft that are being added?

Damn… guess we will eternally be cursed with Low Pitch Abrams, generally-not-deep-enough diesels and unrealistic gunfire xd

Russia just received a new top SAM and the US got the NASAMS 3 in the major before that. So new SPAAs for them should not be expected anytime super soon.

Hey @Smin1080p_WT
I am coming back to you regarding my question from yesterday on the following report for the Mirage 4000 :

https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/NRjgHmIwdenS

After your response on the authenticity of the only source provided, I’ve completely reworked the report and gave more precise (and conservative) figures from more trustable sources (while providing the full source of the original document, though still in English as I don’t find a French original one). Would it be possible to have a look at it ? It’d be greatly appreciated !

Fair, i was just hoping that we could see something like the s300v or the patriot, hq 22, davids sling etc, I just really like anti air vehicles its pretty cool ngl

is there any plans to balance the SM-SV considering theres no nato counterpart to it

Or they could actually fix NATO multi vehicle SAM which are for the most part all pretty heavily underperforming. Spyder, SAMPT, IRIS-T SLS…

even then it would probably not change much considering the SM-SV has 48 missiles

God no leave the SLS alone so it can rot

Talking about the Swedish SLS one not the German one. Ï am not clear as to how this one performs compared to IRL

Yeah I know which one you’re talking about I’m the one who made the bug report for its mobility and arged with Smin about it.

It’s trash should be deleted, it’s mobility is honestly so useless it might as well be stationary

Answer from the devs was well the game engine can’t handle it anyways who cares here’s a “fix” that did nothing toodles

In short with its problems:

It’s missiles double loft making it lose energy which makes it perform worse for close range shots

It lacks resistance to LDIRCM

It struggles to go up most hills making it more dangerous to refill ammo

It takes far too long to reload ammo and only has 8 missiles with ammo box which can’t be replenished.

The vehicles locks up at high speed and trying to turn can cause you to flip or spin out as your trailer keeps pushing you

The tracks of the vehicle get caught on everything and the hit box for the trailer gets stuck on curbs making it harder to move on city maps.

Any slight bump on uneven ground at high speeds cause you to fishtail and spin out

I can literally keep ranting about how worthless this vehicle is

Forwarded for consideration.

After Ninth Wave major update, I want gajin remodel USAF F-4E from USA tech tree to Block 50 or 53 and include Block 50 or 53 features

The early 5th gen infrared Air-to-Air Missile (pre datalink) for strike aircraft 2000’s era and the early 4+ gen fighter aircraft

Vietnam war ~ early 2000’s era

Thanks a lot !

Vietnam war ~ early 2000’s era

An issue with that (At least in my eyes), the difference in performance between that around 25-30 year period is simply incredible.

To be frank, a lot of ARMs (More so subvariants with different seekers) will just not be worth adding for the sake of gameplay and not making every loadout menu take up more space than your whole screen.

Early broadbands are likely just gonna be the best way to implement ARMs across a broad spectrum, maybe adding in more unique and less-broad seeker equipped ARMs as gimmick weapons for things idk.

I absolutely adore this little thing.
