Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up and Discussion (Part 2)

all countries will receive in premiums in batches, but i am not sure there will be necesarily another one this patch, we already got told only a medium amount of premiums, and the leak list already had like 5

Well I’m not so sure about that yet
Wouldn’t they have included them in the devblog?

I gues we will get to know more about it soon. I hope for a dev stream this friday

Early Su-27 had 10 pylons. Mid service had 12, late does in fact have 14 pylons.

Lmao sweden is all the way down at the bottom of the priority list for needing new MBTs. The Strv 122s will be fine.

OOF I fell for it lmao, damnit!

By Friday!..isn’t that kinda soon for a stream???

You didnt read what inwas replying to, didnt you. XD XD XD

troping everything at once would kinda kille some potential dev blogs.
The players demand something new almost every day.
It would be smarter then to do it per tank mostly.

maybe, certainly would be best case, we got now 3 weeks left until the patch maximum should arrive and 2 weeks dev server certainly is better then 1 from what we learned in the patches before

Yeah I fell for that one hard lmao

Ok, time to take out the big guns
Head crack

Yak 141 was a good and needed addition. There are no double standards

I have a question for airplane players and flight performance enthusiasts.

Since there are seemingly credible rumours we will get F-15 and Su-27 (of unknown variants) in this patch, how do these planes actually compare to the currently existing top tier jet aircraft? What kind of advantages and disadvantages do they have over the existing planes at 11.7-12.3? (if we assume they will be at least 12.7 BR)

i proudly ignored the B word and the german ifv that isnt in the german tree, i didnt fall for any provocations xD

I think that it is kinda interresting how the forum evolved. Last year the forum was full of F 16 and Tornado hype
Now we could get an F 15 and noone gives a duck about it

So the Su-27S Late, if it came, even though we can basically guarantee that this is a fake list, would necessitate an F-15C being added to the game. 14 total pylons are possible to be filled, 12 by R-77’s and 2 outer pylon R-73’s.

If the “S Late” is midservice, it’s still going to have 12 pylons, and would be able to do similar. To be honest, an Su-27S Late might as well just be an Su-27SM3, which might as well be a dumbed down Su-35, pylon count is the same (Su-30SM, SM2 have the same pylon count as well).

Considering that chinas still somewhat lagging behind the US and USSR, the J-11 is a good chance to close that gap, and make sure China didn’t fall behind even further in the wake of the flanker and F-15

UK and Sweden would like to have a word with you

If you checkout my TES topic, i’ve got the sources listed for ASPRO-HMT.
“Armor Shield” is a completely different line of product to “ASPRO” Products, designed for different things. The British Army never used Armor Shield products and stuck with ASPRO.

The HMT variant is an offshoot of an existing product, but effectively the same. It’s a STANAG 5 product designed for heat/chemical attack immunity, not KE. Whereas Armor Shield tries to be a bit more KE.

The 84MM might not sound like much, but that’s your first layer. 84MM of KE for ERA. Then you get an airgap, then you get a composite backing screen, another airgap and then the hull. In total, TES turns the Challenger 2’s normal 55mm of KE resistance on its sides into a whopping ~250mm at 0⁰ doesn’t sound like much, but this is the side of the tank. Its not going to be invincible, but angle that? Huge KE resistance. Its a massive and much needed survivability upgrade.

The Armor Shield R myth by the way comes from people learning Rafael made the ERA, going to their website and seeing Armor Shield R as the most visually similar product. Its also where the “can survive 30mm AFPSDS” thing comes from. It can, but TES doesn’t use this product. Its a complete misunderstanding of what product the British Army chose. ASPRO-HMT resists 25mm APFSDS at 500m though, so its still not bad.

The chances for a Teaser Thursday and Dev Stream Friday are very high, the thing is that the update can only come out on the 19/20th, since otherwise it would drop on Christmas or basically new years, which has never happened before as you can imagine

I didn’t say they also weren’t, multiple things can be true at the same time, plus we know Sweden is getting the Grippy this update, so hopefully that should boost them. The UK is also getting something so we’ll have to see what that ends up being
