Again and ? you are creating more as well by these questions
true
If real, this could be a major clue.
I find it odd that Smin would place 1 year timeframe on Gripen, after all the anticipation this year. (And the unofficial statement by Tech mod)
I honestly expected him to either give a “non answer”, or straight up confirm it. Not this.
Also, remember that a top tier jet for Sweden and Britain was confirmed this year. If it isn’t the Gripen, I honestly think it must be the F/A-18. (CF-18 for UK, Finnish Hornet for Swe)
Huffs Hopium
mhmmmmmmmmmmm i wonder why…
we are right before a new patch…with alot of new content coming
i really wonder why there is alot of shit to talk about
Actually curious
It might be F/A-18, 1 plane for 3 nations
i still think the gripen is the most likely
Yeah it seems like a very universal aircraft, you can satisfy many nations at once.
Very similar to F-16 in that way
But for now Gripen can be added only to 1 nation neither UK and italy not have their air subtree
We don’t need a sub tree to get it
Yep and might be good plane at 12.3
So where african Gripen will be placed in uk?
To be fair, you could say the same about Britain not having Canada subtree yet either.
I’m still hoping though
Imagine thinking that Yugoslavia can’t have a tree on its own, despite the fact that it, along with its successor states, has more than some nations already in game.
after fgr2 most likely
right
So, you dont actually know whenever its moving there. Its just a speculation, as no official statement about it was made and no medias are reporting about it. Why are you saying it as a hard-given fact then?
What does this even mean? You mean that Czechoslovakia didnt end as it split into 2 new nations but the Czechoslovak industry ceased to exist? I mean, its quite obvious that Czechoslovak industry does not exist anymore, because nor does Czechoslovakia, but both nations inherited parts of Czechoslovak industry, so idk what the argument is. This sentence just sounds confusing
Cars, planes, busses, all of those are still being developed and produced in Czechia. Companies who produce them in some cases being owned by foreign parent companies doesnt automatically mean they arent Czech anymore. I wouldnt call Škoda, Mini, Bentley, Bugatti and Lamborghini German just because they are owned by German Volkswagen group, just like i wouldnt call Colt and Reminghton Czech just because its czech-owned. Location of the company is from many aspects more important than owner.
Production of T-72s was never really a big deal in Czechoslovakia. Only about 1700 of them were build in total, which, compared to T-55 and BMP-1, of whose have been build 11 000 and 18 000 respectively, isnt that much.
Also, military equipment, really? Czech republic is currently one of the largest small arms producers in Europe. For example, Česká Zbrojovka of the Colt CZ group made among the best firearms of their class in the past few years - mainly Bren 2 and Scorpion EVO 3, with Scorpion being used by law enforcement and militaries all over the world, and Bren 2 being considered one of the best assault rifles currently in service due to its durability, effectivity and relatively low cost compared to competitors (some even like to call it modern AK-47 due to its capabilities). Most of the equipment in Czech and Slovak service is also locally produced, so i dont really think Czech and Slovak capability to produce military equipment is gone
So does Toyota supra. Whats the argument in this? Cooperatipon with other companies, both domestic and foreign is a common practice in capitalist economy. It benefits both sides and it often means you end up with technology from one manufacturer in a product from another one
Patriot I/II and Zetor Gerlach would disagree (These are more of MRAPs than APCs but still, very similiar role)
Obsolete in which way exactly? They are still among the best for their intended purpose - as military and dump trucks intended to be used in rough terrain. If they were truly getting obsolete as you say, Tatra wouldnt currently have so many orders (both civilian and military) that it needs to build a new production hall and double its production by 2025 to keep up.
DANA is from 70s, ofcourse it doesnt keep up. Himalaya is just a T-72 with ZUZANA 2000 turret, so not the greatest comparison either. ZUZANA 2, that one is more than comparable to K-9 and PZH 2000. In some ways being better, in a some other worse.
Hx3 155mm seems preety comparable in its capabilities to the new Slovak BIA tbh. Also, comparing anything with RCH 155 - probably the best artilerry system currently, doesnt really seem fair.
The decision to buy CAESAR was made by previous populist goverment who didnt want to spend much on defence, thus they went with the low-cost option. If we had our current goverment to choose back then, they would likely choose ZUZANA 2 or DITA (MORANA would´ve been the best but that one didnt exist yet)
Its not like large part of in-game nations, including Japan, Israel and Sweden, never produced their own helicopters…
Toptier aircraft aint going to be much better for most in-game nations eventually, either. USA, Germany, Japan, Italy, UK, Sweden (or atleast Finish subtree), Israel, all of these will, like it or not, end with F-35 as their end-of-the-line vehicles. Japan, Israel and Italy wont even get much more unique planes in the future, as they just dont build any (Well, exept for ofcourse the Viper Zero in Japan and some light attack/trainer aircraft in Italian tree, but that would be the same case with Czechoslovakia).
I dont really see Leopard 2A4 and 2A8 as a big problem, because basically no new nation that could be added (exept for South Korea) will have its own MBT. Even Sweden doesnt have domestic MBTs and instead went with Leopard 2.
But hey, maybe we don’t need subtrees to see these vehicles, Gaijin sets the rules anyway.
If it’s expedient they can choose to do it.
Maybe you’re right but they will have problem with placing those aircraft in tech tree
