Just “Char de bataille Leclerc” AMX-56 is a weird incorrect title.
I would have like to have seen the Ares Prototype as a premium. But I guess not.
Worst case scenario is they add an SXXI AZUR as a premium, or make a Tropicalisé as just another Leclerc with a skin.
from a logical point you are right but I am so tired of the meta additions without anything interesting or new gamemodes or whatever.
yeah they can stomp everyone else but how fun will it be to finally kill one of them? like slaying a giant. I don’t take this game seriously anymore
Except that there are 10 other giants already in your spawn by the time you finally dealt with it.
This is not going to solve the lack of variety, it will only worsen it as by the day less and less people would be playing any other nations. After a while it will just be Germany vs Germany.
And? Its not like Soviet Union still exists. I actually think that Czechia and Slovakia being separate nations is probably better for the tree, as both nations use different equipment most of the time, both their own and foreign (and being able to play MiG-29AS, Gripen, F-16V Viper and F-35 in a single tree sounds kinda nice)
There dozens more options for modern IFVs than you think. As you said, there would be CV-90 Mk.IV (with Czech one having 30mm and Slovak 35mm cannon), but older CV-90CZ and CV-90CZr with remote turret could also be added
many Pandur II variants (Regular KBVP, KBVP equipped with domestic PAO hard-kill APS, Corsac which can be equipped with either 30mm Bushmaster and Spike or 2A42 and Konkurs, Pandur II EVO (which is currently in development and will receive updated hull, new turret, engine, loose ambiphious capability, get more modern thermals…), KBV-VR which cannot use ATGMs and so on)
Various unique upgrades of BMP-2 - if i was to name only toptier ones, BVP-2M with Samson II turret (this one even has an updated hull) and BVP-2 with RCWS-30 turret come to mind
Then there are ofcourse Slovak variants of Patria, such as Vydra or Scipio (developed in cooperation with Poland)
And? Whats the problem with that? First of all, the company still has its headquarters in Czech Republic, still produces its planes there and most of the emloyees building these planes are Czechs. Second of all, even if we consider the fact that the company has a Hungarian owner since 2021, it still doesnt change much, as all the planes, including the most modern L-39NG and L-159 ALCA have been developed while the company was still owned by Czechs, with both aircraft even being in service with the Czech army. By your logic, should Colt 1911 be considered a Czech gun just because a Czech company currently owns Colt?
That’s one of the good things that might come out of this. A tech tree Ares.
Since selling an 11.7 would have been the worst option, a prototype Leclerc made the most sense. But now if Rank VIII will bring 12.0+ it wouldn’t be “as bad” otherwise.
First of all, the aero vodochody factory is moving from the Czech Republic to Hungary, so around 2024-25, the L-39NG reconnaissance version already had Hungarian engineers. And I don’t support the separate tree. A subtree is fine, maybe the Czech tree as part of the Soviet Union.
It is a bit different than most other prototypes, seeing as it was fully intended to enter service, and the only reason it didn’t was the collapse of the Soviet Union (at least I think)
It was very close to be put in service and is the only option for Yak-38/naval line for Russia. Other options are Su-33 and MiG-29K but these would be 12.7+
