In Europe, after the Eurofighter Typhoon, Rafale and Gripen, no 5th generation aircraft were developed. The U.K. Bae System Replica remains only a mockup. The Swedish Flygsystem 2020 program was nowhere for the French and Germans, so the Germans would have had the MBB Lampyridae, but the U.S.A canceled this.

That’s actually interesting.
I thought the VBCI only came from the Vextra.

The Replica was mostly a stealth study and there was a near zero chance it was actually going to go anywhere but it was used as a buy-in for F-35 partnership (hence the UK being the only tier 1 partner and actually getting to help design the F-35) and its speculated some findings may have been incorporated into the YF-22/23 designs too.

Still it kept the UK ahead of the European curve as the nation with the most stealth experience.

Europe has relatively little stealth experience overall in terms of design obviously there’s the UAV’s and such things so it will be interesting to see how the future projects turn out.

Rafales (and probably EF) is in work on for 5 gen variants (Rafale F5 with better stealth capability).

Plus planes in work between nations, like the FCAS.

BB-41 being a may event vehicle would be interesting, and also a huge waste. Interesting because this would confirm that at some point newer battleships are coming for the US tree, since Mississippi is better than anything the US has currently.
And a huge waste and disappointment because in the 1950s BB-41 became the first battleship ever to carry Surface-to-Air missiles. And we’ve been told already that Gaijin has her in her 1944(?) appearance.

@Smin1080p how expensive will the challenger 2 oes be? Will it be more than 10000ge?

Neither Rafale nor EF will ever be stealth but they will incorporate more low observability features, but then again the only competitor is the KF-21 which is supposedly only as stealthy as the EF.

But the future projects both seem to be progressing well and knowing the nations on either project, they will definitely go ahead.

Rafales already have some stealth tech. Not as F-35, but still.

And perhaps some on the nEURON, but dunno much about this one.

default 9k may be

The leak list shows another CR2 which could be the LEP which is 2019

I know, but so does the EF.

I’m not bashing France here they are more than capable given their stealth drone, but the UK literally helped design the F-35, it just can’t be matched (as of right now) by Dassault, plus the UK and Japan have the tech sharing agreement for Japans 5th generation demonstrator.

Sure, but i think this stealth gen is overlooked.

Radars gonna upgrade too in the future, when planes that are good MAINLY because “Muh stealth” gonna be lock by all radars, stealth gonna be useless.

Anyway off topic ^^

One of the basic principles of 5 generations is the collapsible bomb cabinet. Rafael cannot fulfill this. I remember that the F-35 flew for the first time in 2006, and the unexhibited Rafael M was exhibited at the Paris Air Show. The more moderate Eurofighter Typhoon was also bought only by Austria, as a non-developing country.
Germany in 1989. This program had to be canceled because of the F-117, which was made public at the time.

Gen also is just a therm by the US for leading things.

Next things they gonna add a freezer for the pilots and call it the base for gen 7.

You don’t have a freeze for cold beer ? You’r not gen 7 worth it.

What if we integrated playstation 1s into the Leclercs?

“Leclercs upgraded with micro components and controller”

Boom. New generation of tanks.

I stop it there xD

Yeah the UK builds the doors for the F-35 IIRC, as well as having input on the current F-35 engine including stealth shielding and thermal shielding and the RR F-135 engine is supposedly better than the current one but due to the US industry being defensive the F-135 isn’t going to be integrated.

Thats fair but Dassault’s omnirole word means the same as Eurofighter’s swing-role. There’s lots of marketing words used by numerous companies but its important to see through the marketing.

I think the generation system makes it easier to simply understand what others are talking about.

Either way, we are decidedly off topic so i’m done for anything not update related.

1 generation is always a significant step forward in all respects from the machine in service at that time.
But the first, albeit unintended, stealth fighter/bomber is in the game. Ho 229. (it is missing, it was planned to have 2x 500 kg bombs in an internal bomb cabinet.)
6th generation fighters that are being developed now and the 7th generation? Well, the Russians are starting to compile its requirements, and the U.S.A. is already flying 6th generation fighter prototypes.
