Apex predators was the only time this happened though, out of all the new rank introductions.
Yak line has naval aircraft right now bc they’re Yak products, nothing more. Other Soviet and Russian naval aircraft are made by other manufacturers, which have their own branches.
The SAAF Gripen might be more unlikely for this upcoming update due to it 's armaments, but that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be coming later - something is going to be the introductory platform for imaging-IR missiles. Could be this.

It was a typo, my point was not a new premium for all like could be expected for a new BR cap and new jets for everyone

As I said before… If AIM-120B wasn’t coming this year we would’ve gotten the IR limited Gripen A together or shortly after F-16A additions. It just doesn’t make any sense to add delayed JAS39C with only IR missiles now.

We have F-4Fs flying with AIM-9J, German MiG-29s flying with ER/ET missiles and the Barak II with AIM-7M.
I think they would have no problems giving it a loadout with AIM-9Ms.
Again, how is it expected when this only happened once?

I do agree. However I think it’s still more likely than them adding an F/A-18 this update and either only for britain, or adding both an F-15 and F/A-18 for the US.
still gonna hate the hell out of it if US gets their 3rd rank 7 premiums, while many even lack 1
Add the F18 and NOT add it to the US. Do you want to start WW3 on the forums. Look at the Germans after the KF41 but they actually care about the US

Apex added a rank VII premium for everyone. The US premium was just a whole BR lower.
Which is likely why the F-4S was added the update after.
