The Gripen D leased by the ETPS is not an option

How do you know that it’s not an option? Do you work for Gaijin?

And that is controlled by the MoD

Im gonna be perfectly honest, i really woudnt want an ETPS Gripen, its a single aircraft used by QinetiQ (i think) and would never realistically see combat, whereas at least my F18 suggestion would have most likely been fighting alongside british aircraft

Ether he is anti British or just anti C&P

Down, boy.

It would have a slightly different airframe due to the added weight, so it wouldn’t be copy and paste.

It’s a single aircraft, flown by non-combat pilots twice a year. They keep the Gripen in Sweden at Saabs facility and never used it for any kind of combat exercise.
How is that an option?

So, do you work for Gaijin?

I seen no pilot step in a F-16AJ :P

God help us if he did

if we get a gripen D it will be a south African one

South Africa uses the C, and you don’t know that we’ll get a South African Gripen over the ETPS one either.

they used C and D

Do you really not care about how ridiculous that idea is?

That Gripen used by the ETPS makes even less sense than those unofficially leased Hornets.

  • It is not owned by britain
  • It is not used by the military or any combat pilots and it isn’t used for combat research
  • it is only flown for research purposes by aspiring test-pilots and aeronautical engineers
  • it is only being flown on two occasions every year
  • it is kept in sweden at SAABs own facility
  • it is being serviced by SAABs staff, not by britain

I stand corrected.

And you do not work for Gaijin, so you cannot know.

So you really think that it’s an option, huh? Why would you entertain that idea to begin with?

If Britain was to get a Gripen it would be via the SAAF, not through the ETPS

I entertain the idea because it has not been denied by Gaijin. Stop acting like you are the one to decide what does and doesn’t get added. You are not. And again, you do not know that.
