and then an explanation like we chose not to give it amraam for balance reasons, the (now useless) F/A-18 Radar is enough for the 12.3BR and giving it AMRAAMs would make it 17.7 so we chose not to add them

It’s British so no doubt they’ll get it at a ridiculously high BR and too late in the game for it to make a difference anymore.

Not the same thing. It’s not like Spey Phantoms are 1:1 the same since their introduction. They only stopped being competetive with addition of F-14A in Danger Zone on June 15 2022. You may say it happened earlier with MLD introduction but it still wouldn’t make it 5 years.
