Claiming that hardening the barrel to achieve higher tensile-strengths somehow limits the depression is of course absolutely laughable.

Hardening metal breaks the laws of physics you see, it makes the barrel much bigger you see.
That’s why it has less gun depression

To harden a barrel you have to heat it. And heating it makes the metal expand

Yeah thats the part i love the most.
Lets just blame the new gun for the limits even though we have absolutely 0 sources and its just a reason we entirely made up, because its suits us.
Holy shit thats why they added air conditioning in the 2A7V. Not for comfort but to offset the perpetually hot barrel

Maybe a rhetorical question but did they fix IR lock-on on the dev server by any chance? Currently you can’t lock onto a plane 700 meters from behind if their engine got destroyed (zero thrust) but the plane/engine is burning like a literal torch as if fire has no “heat”.

I hope that in the future, the flames seen during the startup of propeller-driven aircraft engines will be updated, and added and reworked the volumetric effects of exhaust smoke for both: propeller-driven aircraft and tank engines, as well as for certain jet aircraft (such as the Sea Hawk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_NcTU2gapA).

With cluster munitions coming to air battles could we perhaps see a return of Grom 1 for SU-34? Currently it feels genuinely useless in both air and ground
