rather funny that its belt is weak to everything meanwhile soyuz is still running rampant with a 400mm belt and 155mm deck armour.
Its not even the guns putting H-39 the same BR as soyuz, as those are worse too.

As far as I’ve seen, there’s a small 180mm thick strip between the main 300mm thick belt and the upper 150mm one, but Gaijin currently made the 180mm strip WAY too wide, taking up too much of the main belt.
If it’s fixed, it may have… sufficient armor; if it’s not fixed, it will literally have Heavy Cruiser levels of survivability.
Actually it is the Straussler V-4/40. I say this not to be annoying but because the regular Straussler V-4 is an older variant with significant differences from the newer V-4/40.
Just for reference its not far off of the light cruisers of 6.0. its not even half of my favourite ship, HMS Rodney (IRL fave, not played in game as i refuse to play naval until soyuz is nerfed), and Rodney is a 7.7 not 8.7

Similar circumstance here lmao. I’d buy Duke of York if not because it has to face a completely broken Soyuz. Not like it should even face any 8.7s at all, but even less so Soyuz on its current state.

Idk against aircraft it maybe deadly, but planes are easy targets at these brs in naval battles and are quite rare at least in NRB. Although against vessels, which aren’t destroyers and some light cruisers it’s still very weak.
I still cant get over that gaijin give Soyuz its fantasy stats when in reality the soviets didnt have a single steel plant that could produce the steal in the quality thickness and method needed for modern capital ship armour, its why I think we should see things like some of the british 18inch designs, the UK struggled to build a single barrel but hey it got the soyuz its stats lol

Honestly I wanna see the fantasy designs admiral john fisher came up with, HMS Incomparable was a 48000 ton battle cruiser that was meant to reach 35knots and armed with 3x2 20 inch turrets, yet was only expected to have a life span of 10 years because he and I quote “expected the design to be quickly surpassed”
