I agree overall with your post, but I wouldn’t call the T-90M arena a next gen MBT for the Russian tree.

yeah but im unsure what else they would even get? the T-90M2 i dont think properly exists yet maybe a new T80?

well no, a ‘next generation’ MBT is something like Obj195/640 and Armata
The 2024 variants of T-90M2 and BVM are the ‘end of the line’ for out current generation of MBTs

Besides the T-14 there are only a couple of prototypes that could improve Russia’s top tier MBT situation.
The BVM with supposedly improved reverse speed is hella shady, but then again the F-15IA opened a can of worms.
IIRC it was brought up in the dev stream Q&A and the answer was no news currently
the Obj195/640 and armata none of which are in service or going to be in service tanks? talking about planned to be in service tanks they have the T-90M2 and i think a new T-80
Haven’t read his message ( if someone can post it ) but as phrased here it only confirms that it might not make it for dev server, doesn’t confirm if it will make it or not for the update .

If we had an announcement to announce on a vehicle coming this major, we would do so.
a BVM with improved reverse speed wouldnt even improve there MBT’s all that much if im being honest they still suffer from slow autoloaders and bad gun depression

Su-30SM2 was not announced , so can we get a definitive denial in regards to Su-35S for this update ? That’s all im asking for. Thank you .

sure but they’re definitive ‘next gen’, similarly to abrams X, KF51, EMBT ASCALON, etc
I do not consider any T-72/80/90 series modernisations as particularly next gen but I do expect to see a modernised BVM with a camo net, anti drone protection and improved transmission get added soon
I’m going to be over here copeing for the 1% chance that they finish off the year with what been going strong, Commonwealth MBTs and add the Canadian Leo’s to the UK tree (with Canada also getting it’s home in the UK tree)
But I doubt it happing…
On a more related note to the update, we might be getting folding wings. With it being what BVVD was talking about with the British plane.
Going by others talking about the model it’s apparently broken up in a way that would allow that.
