What was the reason behind calling the New South African Premium “Optimering” Instead of just calling it Olifant Mk.1B Optimum (Its actual name)
Also there are no 10.0 British Tech tree ground vehicles (Excluding a singular 10.0 SPAA) so what was the reason to make it a premium?
Also are there any plans to add any new South African Aircraft to the game? (hopefully as a normal TT vehicle)
We will likely see some form of 5th gen this year unless something changed recently but I fear that they will only add the F-35 for now. I could see a scenario where they add the F-35 and J-20 maybe an early SU-57 and then later J-20A together with the SU-57 Production version and F-22A but I am not sure. There is also the issue of China missing some 4th gen fighters like certain J-16/J-11 Variants. So would be great to know if we should only expect the F-35.

I think that both the F-22 and F-35 will come in one update.
The F-22 is just an iconic aircraft, and US mains will cry their eyes out if the raptor gets pushed to a later date.
And european nations obviously need the F-35 due to having no 5th gens of their own.
Kinda sad italy is getting a 2nd missile boat when Japan and the UK are still waiting for their first missile boat

Actually, quite the opposite. The F-22 has been denied multiple times for 2026, most recently just yesterday. However, when it comes to fifth-generation aircraft, there is the aforementioned post by Smin and a statement by BVVD on the Russian forum that 2026 isn’t over yet when asked where 5th gens are. This is particularly interesting given that it was previously stated that fifth-generation aircraft wouldn’t arrive before the second half of 2026.
Well, we’ll see.
Personally, I’d find it quite strange to add 5th gen before the Su-35S and those chinese jets which you have mentioned.
Though that is ultimately up to gaijin.

I feel like adding the f35 as a first wave for multiple nations to get the stealth aspect down and tuned before the big jets come like the f22 is a decent way to go.

I never quite understood the appeal of subs in warthunder, they feel like they are going to be either useless or OP with no real in-between
It is mainly just about having them. For most people it will be unenjoyable due to how low dopamine it is but it is pretty to look at and provides some variety to naval.
I thought about this as well but I am unsure how they would then introduce the J-20 variants. The Regular J-20 is far less capable than the F-22 but then the J-20A is a serious foe and I dont think they will skip the regular J-20 as they also didnt do this with the EF-2000. I think they will have to introduce the J-20A togehter with the F-22.

I guess, until we get into 50s era subs with the first wire guided torps or wake homing I dont see subs being fun at all to play, unless you spawn right next to the enemy which has its own issues
