We have two acknowledged reports, both probably suggested to the devs and left in the paper pile of stuff to eventually fix if they have don’t have anymore bugs/glitches created by the new update. Since the code is likely spaghetti.

Mine i made about 1.5 year ago, before the Painful HE-VT removal showed how weak the VEAK 40 as a SPAA platform is.
So the velocity of most SPAA guns at 7.7 has 940 - 1000m/s of velocity making it pretty reliable to hit enemies, while the VEAK 40 throws out rounds at 800 m/s.
So, 800 m/s (2880 km/h) vs the standard 1000m/s (3618km/h), quite a big difference in performance.
Also thinking about the 20mm Vulcan at 7.7 with both a amazing muzzle velocity and fire-rate. The damage per second potential is much greater compared to the VEAK 40, And taking the ZSU-37-2, and witnessing their performance id say with relative confidence that it too outclasses the VEAK 40.
Now going down to the Lvkv 42 and comparing it to similar 40mm SPAA platforms, We can compare it to the AMX-13 DCA 40, same fire-rate, better survivability. more ammunition. Virtually the same gun as the Lvakan m/48 (40mm bofors L/70) And the ammunition is the most matching. Only the newer Leopard 40/70, that is a literal Lvakan 48 ground mounted AA pieces. Being a literal license production of the standard 40mm L/70 gun,
As well as the velocity being a issue. The Explosive HE filler for the Lvakan 48 round is supposed to be
So basically, I’m sitting here hoping for the Lvakan 48 to be fixed and for both the Lvkv 42 and VEAK 40 to rise to be equal to similar SPAA platforms at their respective battle-ratings.
Personal experiences
Having played the Lvkv 42 pretty intensely id say the biggest flaw is the lack of ammunition combined with the lower muzzle velocity making it more risky to engage air targets. And especially considering what its competition is. Id rather take the U-sh 204 gk. Despite the smaller caliber the Faster muzzle velocity and fire-rate, and the weirdly potent HE round almost giving the same result as a 40mm HE round against aircraft? Id even go as far to say that id take the U-sh 204gk over the VEAK 40. Since i mostly feel mislead by the radar, and it giving me false confidence.
So id say that having used the Lvkv 42 since the introduction of Sweden. Id say that even with a crapton of training and knowledge of velocity id still say that the switch from 850m/s to 1005 m/s, still even with the fact that I’ve never used any SPAA guns except the Lvkv 9040. that has 900 - 1000~ m/s id say with confidence that it WAY easier to aim than 850 m/s…
Idk how many people care as much as i do, but i bet the number of people who did has sorta forgot or just ignored it now that Sweden has a decent SPAA at 5.0br, the U-sh 204gk. So personally i think most people have gone eh, dont have to bother with it now atleast. Now we have a SPAA that gets the job done, And i dont have to bother with the Lvkv 42, same goes for the VEAK 40, and the Leopard 2 marksman being superior to it
How many of these posts do i make untill this inacuracy is fixed, probably 266 more. since its taking ages lol
