New Run of Nuclear Escalation!

Pls add one thing a tug boat for the Kuznetsov :)

Rewards are pretty abysmal; played a 50 minute match with almost 4000 mission points and only 7k RP. This mode does not reward your time spent or your skill, SL rewards are okay-ish.

The F2a at 13.0 in the 12.0 to 13.0 bracket is op

  • Bug fixes (AGM-88 does not cause damage or does not hit EWR antennas. Missiles from enemy anti-aircraft systems passing through trees or water. IR-guided bombs inaccurate and missing moving targets in convoys. And other bugs mentioned by the community);

  • Optimize performance (preferably without reducing graphics quality or removing resources);

  • Increase rewards to encourage and engage players in the mode. (For Research Points and Silver Lion, it is much more viable to play Realistic Air Mode, because the amount of time you spend on a Nuclear Escalation match, you can play several matches in Realistic Air Mode in the same period of time and get much more rewards);

  • Add reward bonuses for destroying high-value targets, such as aircraft carriers and large anti-aircraft systems, and add an assist bonus for all players who damaged these systems. This would generate a great incentive for teamwork to destroy these targets. (We would have a risk versus reward issue, where the more important, dangerous, and difficult the target, the more rewarding its destruction will be);

  • Add new maps (either completely new maps or adapt existing ones);

  • From these new maps mentioned in the previous topic, add new scenarios based on historical conflicts (Gulf War, Falklands War, Iran-Iraq War, Vietnam War, Ukraine War, and more…);

  • Add new features (RCS for weapons, hit/miss rate of interception of anti-aircraft systems, modern strategic bombers with cruise missiles, among other features suggested by the community);

  • Remove or reduce cloud intensity. Or another option would be to add thermal sight capabilities to see through them;

  • Increase the stabilization limit of modern targeting pods above 30 kilometers. (Currently, you lose aiming stabilization in targeting pods when attempting to target targets beyond 30 kilometers, making it difficult to search for and use stand-off weapons at long distances);

  • Making access to nuclear bombs more difficult should be sporadic, tactical, and a reward for performing good deeds throughout the match. (Currently, players perform very little action in the match and manage to access a nuclear bomb and destroy an entire airfield, jeopardizing all the efforts of that team that is striving with conventional means to destroy enemy defenses).

I think another thing to consider would be adding weapons/armaments to planes that are locked specifically to this mode, meaning you’ll have access to weapons and/or loadouts specifically for this mode that you can’t use in Ground RB. As this would prevent the planes from getting their BR’s changed too much as well as prevent the more overpowered weapons from being used on player vehicles.

Anyway, I definitely agree with the points you’ve raised here.

Most importantly, they need to make the onboarding experience a lot more streamlined. The objectives and what the player is meant to do need to be explained right away, either on the map screen or in a tutorial, most people have no idea what the endgame goal of the mode is.

YES, this exactly. I want the MMW mode for my GBU-53s, and when the helis are added to this mode, I want the MMW mode for my JAGMs on my apache guardian and I want longbow hellfires for my AH64D. Also, MMW mode for brimstones. Cluster munitions would be nice too, but with how laggy the servers have been today just from people dropping nukes on depots, I don’t know if the servers could handle that. The AGM-187A for US planes with MMW guidance would be really nice as well. That could even be added to GRB, just locked to its SAL mode like the brimstones.

Also the IR and TV guided munitions just completely failing to hit moving convoy targets

YES and YES. Rewards should be increased further for ground pounding and decreased for air to air combat, to incentivize striking ground targets, which is exactly what this mode was made for. And taking out strategic targets like the long range sams, airfields, depots, etc. should have further increased rewards, and the moving convoy spaas having slightly increased rewards, since they are a tougher target and it helps the team. Maybe even slightly decrease spawn costs if you spawn in with more A2G weapons to further incentivize doing mostly A2G combat.

Yes, though they have already said they are cooking up some new maps (i really hope one of them is a desert map so I don’t have to try spotting targets through trees lol). An ODS scenario could be really cool.

Yes, although they already have done the first one, (only to a limited extent though). The new pseudo RCS mechanic really makes engaging the S300s with GBU-39s a total breeze.

Yes please. The 30km limit makes it much more dangerous than it has to be to engage S300s and its also unrealistic. And whenever the map has low cloud cover, it makes it even harder.

This as well. Right now the nukes are just cheap tools to get a few free kills on a depot or a convoy or a group of dug in enemies. The CAS weapons at the top tier brackets are more than capable of doing this job, so you should be incentivized to use the nukes on more strategic targets, like the long range SAMs and airfields. The RP cost should be significantly increased and there should be a 5 minute cooldown to spawning it across the entire team, and the ability to rearm it on the airfield should be removed. This should disincentivize suicide runs and incentivize use on more strategic targets because of the rarity and high cost. The air defenses on airfields should be placed at higher points on the airfield as well to make it more difficult to make a run on the airfields.

I’m not gonna say anything I’ll let my reaction handle that. Fix your game gaijin

I have video evidence of this being the case now from multiple clips. Across 4 clips of me attacking the same convoy, I drop 7 GBU-53s and launch 6 AGM-65Ds, all from high altitude and with clear line of sight. Only 1 GBU-53 hit, and one of the Mavericks even clipped through the ground. And excuse my video editing skills, I do this very rarely.

And beforehand Bluefor also had one option - Japanese Flanker - for Kh31 point and click gaming

Lets be realistic, with 50km targeting pod range, dealing with S300 becomes trivial for any aircraft capable of carrying GBU-39, being actually more effective than Kh31 as single player can wipe entire site in single sortie.

Either Gaijin will nerf reduced RCS and significantly improve point defense around SAM sites, resulting in need of 4-6 bombs per target or nerfs CEP on small glide bombs, resulting in casino of a SEAD. Or bring back Buks.

Rewards leave much to be desired…
Atleast the lower tiers are fun, can’t say the same for top tier

The worst thing about the mode, other than the abysmal rewards, has to be the combination of the trash spotting system, and the 100 gazillion random SHORAD convoys. They are so many and just everywhere and are not spotted until it’s too late. Even if you play safe, they are so many that it feels like shooting a bullet in a lake, barely making any impact.

Please improve the spotting system and remove these random AA convoys and the stationary ones with tank ENTIRELY. Please only keep the AA which are at depots. To make them not completely vulnerable to gps munitions, you can make it so that they move a bit within the depot itself every 3 or 4 minutes.

Those random ITOs are pissing me off

Can we get some rewards from anti-ship bombing?

I made 1k SL with an hour of sorties in the buccaneer sinking ships are you bloody joking?

Sank 2 Admiral Kuznetsov and all I got for it was like 300SP. They NEED to fix this

Also the amount of 2S6/ITO90 is just too much and makes no sense in real conflict. Replace convoy 2s6/ITO with Shilka and Gepards at least

Which would effectively remove convoy AA from the game, being so short ranged. Unless they start slinging Stingers/Iglas, as Shilka/Gepard variants used to have MANPADS attached.

But then you will be screaming about unflareable missiles without warning.

I sunk everything but the carriers and made nothing

I think it should be a mix of them. Mostly Shilkas and Gepards with manpads, but a 10 or 20 percent chance of having a 2s6 or ito instead. This would also give slower strike aircraft like the A10 and SU25/SU39 an easier time engaging convoys.

They might be impossible to flare but they are super easy to dodge because they have very poor g overload. And as long as you pay attention to your rwr, the Shilkas and Gepards turn on their search radars once you get within 20km of them, and they will lock with their track radars a decent amount of time before they actually engage you, so there isn’t really 0 warning.

Although map is unsuitable for the Player controlled ground units, Addition of Helicopters would be a welcome addition. Since heli PvE is an awful mode and in the ground you essentially takeoff and start spamming missiles right away.
