Makes matches very boring IMO
Eats lots of shots
Backs out of fire
Difficult to attack with a plane (after it could have already wrecked all of your 3.7 or 4.0 boats or ships)
Seems difficult to disable the rockets (? brief chances to test this but I’ll keep trying)
I don’t mind strong ships but this thing is really, really boring, to the point where a couple of times I didn’t even bother respawning because of the above normal number of other players who’d left after 1 or 2 deaths, probably because of the SKR-7 ;)
5.0 would make it a light fleet spawn alternative to a faster destroyer all the way up to top tier and keep it away from lower ranks where I’d personally worry it’d be deterring players wanting to get into ships.

I don’t see this changing any time soon. They did massively up the points needed to purchase it as a squadron vehicle. The SKR-1 is still available in the tech tree though.
My best advice is take them out as soon as possible if you are in a destroyer or something bigger. I make them a priority target to save my team the headache. Same with Shimakazes.

I’ll keep hoping - to never meet them in 3.7 would make that BR much more enjoyable
HMS Peacock got shifted up, just want consistency :)

Yep getting spammed in the event as usual, should go 4.7 but enough people GE it that Gaijin probably wont.
Seeing it in my 3.3 costal line up is pure suffering.

It could go up to 5.3 and be fine. the biggest problem is the anti-submarine rockets. you can’t balance a vehicle with 144 rockets with a bigger warhead than an 11 inch shell that can be fired as fast as you can click. the SKRs are a great example of gaijin’s incredible and blatant bias.

If the SKR was a non-russian tank its BR would go up in the sky, based on “statistics” (e.g the EBR’s) - I am sure that the stats of the SKR1/7 are not so bad (sarcasm)… BTW - the same with PR206 (but this one is destructable in a usual way)

they did fix it for awhile and it was bearable to play against … but … as usual when they release another update they often forget a lot of the patches … we dont get good coders in naval and thinking is so hard … as is doing a normal days work … it is back to being almost as invulnerable against amour pierce and semi amour pierce as it has been for the last many years … a hit with HE on deck should mince all the rockets and launchers instantly

oh yes - its a repeating issue that in a new patch old bugs say “hello again” - it seems to me that a number of dev teams are working on the same base code and when one team fix a bug it will return when the 2. dev team sets their changes online - including the old bug contained in their base code…
I am still waiting for a undamaged SKR to be one-shotted -
