What I also don’t like is how the 2A6 FIN and NL are different from the other Leopards. This is a minor nitpick, but from what I’ve noticed, the sources used for the FCS are for the 2A7V and not 2A6. So, I think there’s a good chance they will pull a switcheroo and give every Leo the FCS, driver controls, and power when the update goes live.

These are only for the 2A6 FIN and 2A6 NL, all other leos just got the basket & vertical change
If you look carefully enough at the FCS you can also tell its from the wrong version, by the looks they used the leopard 2A7V and i have a fairly good idea of what books they refrenced.

Wow! As I said, I think this is really, REALLY cool. Takes War Thunder’s models to a whole new level.
However, I think this should come for more tanks at the same time, as not to put some in an unfair disadvantage against those still not so detailed; and, of course, the turret basked should NOT be a part of the traverse mechanism, rather, just crew spall protection.

Seems like another case of “rules for thee, but not for me.” T-80s will not be getting a turret basket. They didn’t even acknowledge it as an issue that they don’t get one, while the Leopard and Abrams do.

Let’s not forget that they just up and removed the driver controls from the T-80U-E1, even though it was ready for release on live. While some Leopards now have driver, fcs and power while no other new module issue has been fixed. They accept the bug reports but then dont change anything.

No main battle tank should undergo such internal structural detailing, as it benefits no players. Gaijin claimed this mechanism - introduced after player voting - aimed to address the high survivability of light vehicles. Therefore, the modification should have been exclusively applied to light vehicles. Moreover, this adjustment itself is unreasonable. The majority of the turret basket area consists of lightweight metal crew workspaces rather than being part of the horizontal turret drive mechanism. Its previous absence from modeling was entirely justified. Even if modeled now, it should be classified as standard structural steel rather than being categorized as part of the horizontal turret drive system.

Why don’t gaijin just make every tank properly model and then add it into the game same time, and why is the basket count as turret ring

If they rather model the hydraulic engine/pump and make the turrent movement independent on the on the engine, instead od making whole basket a drive bacause there are hydraulic lines ?
Btw they did it to several other vehicles already (BegleightP. 57 ec.)

Exactly. The Abrams, for example, ALREADY has the hydraulic lines modelled. Those are it; not the whole basket…

Other than that, I think that the new and additional modules are incredible and I hope every tank will be getting them.
The only problem here is the turret basket; for some reason being modelled as the turret ring AND generating spall when it should be stopping it instead.
Funny thing is, for the advanced ARH missile, they said they would add them together for all countries at the same time, and they did. But when it comes to these dumb detail module things, they become “unfortunately it is not possible to update every single tank at the same time”. So why don’t we just wait till at least most tanks are made properly. Also, the helicopter detail thing, for non-detail heli, the avionic system will be broken with a slightly hit on the skin is just so stupid

Why are they even doing changes like this while there are MBTs still missing spall liners? Are they incapable of finishing one job before running off to others?
