Especially if PL-12A ends up being anywhere close to simulated attempts of its true to life performance. Would out-accelerate, out-range, and out-maneuver the AIM-120D

To kinda side track, does it feel like missiles are harder to dodge these days? Like i use to be able to dodge them all day a few patches ago but now it feels like you need too be perfect in your notch while spamming 2-3times more chaff.

because radars are alot stronger these days so datalink becomes more potent

I dont think i can really be called [X]-main.

If it follows the performance of the C but with some better range, i dont think it will be better than A/B for close OBS launches, where kills actually happens. I hope im wrong and we get a better turning AIM-120, but the hopes are low

I think it will be ruining the meta necessarily, but I suspect that the PL-12A will be nasty in particular with it’s performance increase and the number of them on the J-10C so perhaps we might see it among the R-77-1 and the MICA-EM

Can’t deny that it would be fun to see the SH take on the role of the Tomcat as a long range missile platform, but I am not sure how balanced that would be.

Did they update a lot of radars recently then? i remember that i was able to dodge r77’s, 120’s and derbys without breaking a sweat. Mica’s sometimes as well on a good day but now im using half my chaff just to dodge 1 of the non-mica ones.

Just maybe don’t use it for dogfights? It the same braindead mentality in prop tier that usa players try to turnfight everything instead of utilizing their advantages. Aim120c has the best range already
