So AIM-120D and PL-12A just got mentioned and will be added in the future with new aircrafts, with a new visually/statistically different engine for the J-10C (WS-10).
My question comes to ask all the currently toptier players: Do u think this 2 new missiles will perform a lot better than the current metas (R-77-1/MICA-EM)? Give ur explanation.

i dont think the PL-12A is going to be meta as long as its only on the J10C which has abysmal fuel efficiency, countermeasure count and radar gimbal limits. new missiles wont change the fact that you’ll still have to play around these downsides

btw, what if they would add R-77M1? i asked it in a video of MatAWG and a random started yapping and insulting me saying im so bad with the SM2 that i need a new and better missile, that SM2 is OP and that if i struggle with R-77-1s then i have a huge and discomunal skill issue and blahblah.

J-10C going to receive an engine buff. Also they can carry lot of these missiles (same amount of radar missiles as the F-15E) while having the maneuvrability of a light fighter jet.
Even if you dont like it, you still have the J-11 platform and such flanker copies.
