Very well designed, even as a mockup/prototype. Seems really fun too. Huge +1!
Ships are surprisingly vulnerable to tanks when they come close to shore. From personal experience in custom matches, you need a high-arc, direct High Explosive hit to roof hull area with a 120mm+ gun from a ship to destroy most tanks in the game. And that’s IF said tank stays still long enough for you to land the hit should you be 5-15km out.
Getting closer than 3-4km to use fast, accurate shelling is dangerous for anything but heavy cruisers and battleships because the hulls and turrets of everything else just don’t have the armor. And even with the heaviest armored ships, you don’t have the fire rate or ability to direct each high-caliber gun onto a different target in order to pin-point apply AP or HE shells through the weakpoints of tanks, while they can pummel your turrets, bridge, engines, or obliterate your crew with impunity.
I really hope we see something like this as some sort of test event. This is probably the best GRB mode suggestion I have seen and would be extremely fun, especially at top-tier.

I can’t believe this hasn’t got more views and upvotes. The current Ground Battle modes are beyond their expiration date and get so boring.
With all of the vehicles now in the game, it would be AMAZING to see vehicles that were previously rarely utilized or under performing find a way to make it in a new game mode.

I think that if this game mode is implemented, we should see more vehicle classes as well.
For instance, (and this is the big one) we could see at least two classes of AA: with cannons and without cannons. If your AA has a cannon large than say, 12.7mm, it should require SP + Silver to spawn in (SP cost increase with cannon caliber too?) as they can easily be used as anti-everything. Meanwhile, SPAA with missiles only would cost only Silver. You could also make multi-vehicle SAMs their own class that require a small amount of RP + Silver due to their high lethality against air targets.
The current “light tank” class could also use a rework. For instance, IFVs could become their own class and receive ammo crates as tanks like Namer suffer from low ammo count. Scout tanks could also receive a class of their own and be the only tanks with recon drones.
Just some thoughts that would be useful in both regular GRB and this mode.
maps with Rivers would be good for boat River battles it would be nice since Naval battles made boats useless at 3.3
