the terrain in the islands is mostly peat bogs, saturated soil, deep mud and jagged rocks… totally unsuitable for tanks…

Why??? Red Desert didn’t need flattening out, it’s quite a good top tier map since those long angles give you a different experience than the World of Tanks-esque CQC battles.
Please for the love of god stop TikTokifying top tier for the sake of low attention span premium slop consoomers.

A nice looking new map that will be completely ruined by the same obsolete and horrible game modes that we’ve had to slog through for the past 10 years…
And apparently we are too dumb to play any other modes according to bvvd.

Sounds more like a nerf to the map to me. Genuinely 1 of my fav maps in the game that I rarely get to see anyway, this will just make it less fun. The issues the map has/had were not the elevation aspect but the way that the map layers were set up more so.
Flat desert is just so boring looking and kills any kind of long range aspects I enjoyed of the map both either sitting and using the high rise points and outflanking and destroying people who got too cosy using them.
As for Falklands, I truly hope we might actually finally see FV 101 Scorpion with it, given this is where the tank made a fair bit of a name for itself and of course, obligatory

I enjooyed the original large Sands of Sinai which had the sand dunes and mountain in the middle which was flattened and now y’all doing the same to Red Desert?

One of the more unique maps to play on, and while there are some people that don’t like the gameplay it promotes, I do…
Just like Pradesh or large one cap Fulda Gap (my beloved)

I mean tbh its my fault I can play on NA servers and have like 40 ping, but NA servers are suck a fucking sweat feast I would only be getting a tank maybe every year, EU and CIS servers are so much more chill at the cost of sitting at 160-300 or so ping

It may be a favourite among tourists but is a real pain to deal with if you live in a area where Gorse/Furze grows like crazy. Wonder if it can catch on fire easily and spread easily like what Gorse can do Irl?
Gaijins idea of map improvements are to flatten the map, force poeple into 3 lane corridor cqc, and adding massive and obstructive red death zones that dont offer any sort of opportunity to flank or move around.

I am REALLY looking forward to this map!
I will have to test it on the Dev Server, but, as of now, I have a VERY good feeling; I feel like it will be my favourite map!
Open, but not entirely flat.
Rural, with a couple of buildings.
Not a plain field, but not a city block either.
It’s looking exactly like the sort of environment truly suitable for modern MBTs!
