People are just memeing on it, this happens for literally any new major defense project that is released. That being said, yes, there are stereotypes of Chinese industry. And it’s only until recently that China has proven itself capable of producing unique airframes, and people are slow to change their beliefs.
It would be even funnier if it made to perform a very specific thing → americans get high on own supply → overcompensate → trash the original idea because it doesnt live up to their overcompensation and supply of white powder
For all we know it could be made of cardboard. Mind you, I’m fairly sure China isn’t quite as bad as Sukhoi so let’s see if they actually produce it.
I do also note that if you want to have a capability that is sneaky, stealthy and a ‘game-changer’, ‘unmatched’ ‘superweapon’ and whatever other superlatives beloved of the internet experts… you don’t tend to fly it around in public. Especially not relatively low-level, low airspeed and in a cloudless daylight sky over a populated area for everyone to video.
The only scenario in which you want to do it - would be as a PR stunt - in which case well done China. Right, next?
On every single Chinese/Russian stealth aircraft threads online, there’s these types of trolling, and they’re nothing new. We should be avoiding this when it comes to Warthunder, because I really would like to see informative discussions and not pointless memeing.
None of what you said makes sense since the development and design of the aircraft would have been longer than the time since renderings of NGAD were released. Not everything is “copied”.
Bunch of images and videos on Twitter. And there’s 2 different aircraft with a third rumored to be shown soon. But I don’t really see the point of this thread, very limited information is known with only guesstimates about performance and we are FAR off from this ever being discussed as a real addition to the game.
This is just what the Skunkworks needs to get the funding for the F22 replacement which will be the best aircraft in the skies until we are all pensioners
If anything it suggests their engine development is too far behind. Needing an entirely separate engine for highspeed performance is not something that looks appealing to me, especially when it’s a problem the A-12/SR-71 solved in the 60s. more weight, more space, more drag and increased RCS to make up for engine shortcomings.
