As you can see from the timecodes in the description, there are huge lag spikes shortly after most kills.
Some kills, the lag spikes are nonexistent or minor enough to not be noticeable, but other times they are severe. It seems to only happen when sufficiently close to the killed player.
I have so far watched half the video and cannot see what you are referring to.
At what timestamp is it most noticeable in your opinion?
(it’s way better to upload just the part with the issue instead of several games in one long video)
Like I said, there’s timestamps in the description, I was hoping to ward-off any arguments of “your internet is just bad” or “the lag happens always”.
The most severe cases are at these time-codes:
(Look for the plane “sinking down” or the sudden direction change caused by the rubber-banding, about 1 second after a kill happens)
6:15
8:43
9:14
13:18
I can’t say for certain, but I don’t recall having these issues, at least not this severe a few months ago.
That does look a bit weird, but likely not internet as your ping and package loss are still the same.
What specs are your pc and are you running max settings in-game? (might be the explosion particles that overload your graphics card and/or CPU but i’m just guessing)
No, it’s distinctly a network issue, given that the server does not receive client state for the moments immediately after a kill. A graphical issue or frame drop wouldn’t interfere with the network thread or packet buffers, especially considering the issue happens more than a second after the kills (including the creation of particles that might cause a stutter). Contributing to that, in the second game, my FPS stays above 350 for the entire duration, making it highly unlikely graphics performance comes into play.
I’ll humor you though:
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Radeon RX 7900XTX
64gb DDR5
Samsung SSD 980 PRO 2TB
My internet is symmetrical 1 gigabit fiber.
Then i would bug report it here (just search a bit first so that you don’t report something that is already reported and known about): (Gaijin.net // Issues)
