Just what is says, simple - nuff: (NOTE This thread is NOT about player cheating - it’s about the AI Naval bots that Gaijin put into the game by design. )
Why?
Bots are ramming teammates
Bots are stealing kills
Bots AA make player CAS aircraft impossible
Bots one shot active players trying to re-cap points
Basically, they are ruining the game by making it frustrating instead of fun and the wait times STILL suck 😑
I’ve never really had any issue other than the microscopic spawn areas resulting ships crashing into each other and them getting in the way at times. So they just need to programmed to “evade” player ships and avoid that happening.
But never had any issues with them kill stealing nor do I think they make any difference in terms of CAS. If anything Id find players ships a greater threat because they can react properly and I have no idea how Gaijin decides to outfit the bot ships, but players ships may have HE-VT which are incredibly potent for AA.
The only thing that is annoying is that sometimes the bots will go for bases and cap them and others will actively avoid them.
Had one match not that long ago where the bots on one team capped all 3 points and the bots on my team seemed to be sat a few m away from the cap point just ignoring them
I like their introduction to a certain degree, especially as they rewrad the proper amount now, but what is needed is smarter AA in terms of routing
Wow Morvan, as often as you play Naval I find you not having had these problems, absolutely amazing. In any random match I usually get 2 kills and 5 assists with Bots stealing at least 4 of my kills. And, I have totally lost count of the impossible AA shoot-downs from bots. One of the most memorable was me getting shot down by a Bot PT with a 12.7mm, while flying a B-17 at 14,000 ft. You must have truly amazing luck; maybe I should rub my rabbits foot on your head before I play … (Or go with you to Vegas, and have you place my bets)
I would like to know how you do that.
But there is still an outstanding issue in naval how kills are calculated, and it s/b most damage, not last kill shot. Fix that and you fix the Bot problem.
Not the point, that should be impossible considering a .50 caliber can’t even shoot that high. And besides, the Bot RNG AAA needs a serious nerf.
Kill stealing is an issue, indeed. Like I shot and wreck an enemy capital ship for quite some time and then a bot shots a low calibre HE shell and gets the kill. This is outrageous.
That and and overwhelming need for BR decompression really do rob you of the joy. I mean the arcade aiming mode that every one seems to be in an uproar over is pocket lint compared to these two big ticket items.
I think this should be done by re-making the algorithms to make bots to go backward of player in cases of possible crash, and re positioning the spawn area
Yeah, bots needs to be not counted on killing enemy ships.
Overall accuracies has to be nerfed but making bots unable to AA is little weird
But unlike wows shooting active player don’t make capping restarted isn’t it?
No, if people would stop using reserve coastal boats against high tier costal bots the gameplay would be more fun and we others don’t have carrying this lazy players.
