Two things are not fair about this tank… 1 it is a premium, meaning not everyone can get it. and 2 it is literally OP with it’s reload speed of 4s, and its ability to frontally pen the Turret of the Maus at ease and when I try to hit its weak spots it is almost always an auto bounce for some reason!!!

The last game I faced this thing in my Maus, dude shot 15 shells at me in 3 or less minutes. THIS IS NOT BALANCED.

I can see those who bought it trying to defend it in any way they can. still no matter what you say, this is a P2W tank and it is broken. and the Maus has to deal with that.

Maus is 7.7 Somua is too.
Maus can shoot once every 20 seconds. Somua can shit on you every 4 seconds.
Maus is slow AF, Somua is fucking fast and maneuverable.

Somehow also any damn thing that touches my barrel destroys it!!

Maus should not be at 7.7 should be 7.3 or 7.0.

Somua on the other hand, should be 8.0 if not 8.3.

Agree or disagree to my opinion, this damn thing and the way it is not balanced is a P2W.

The Maus would be OP at 7.3, and the Somua would be terrible at 8.3.

Dude the Tiger 2 has APHE a cupola shot will one tap it. this is a skill issue. Hell I can consistently knock them out with 17pdr APDS with decent shooting

Maus is not balanced at 7.7 no matter how hard you try to say otherwise.

The Somua is great at 7.7, but the logic of making the Maus also 7.7 is just BS. I take my panther II to 8.3 and I can still do stuff with it. The Maus doesn’t offer you the same choices u can have on a mobile fast reacting tank. 7.3 is fair for it and it can face tanks that can kill it.

I feel like you are overhyping the somua sm.

It has the jumbo syndrome of having good frontal armor with paper thin sides. Hull has 40mm on the side and turret’s sides are 60mm.

The 4 sec autoloader is great but it is held back by its small first-stage of 8 rounds. It takes a long time to put more rounds into it.

to this guy who thinks I am mad coz my Maus got penned. my issue is not being penned as much as getting spammed with shells every 4 seconds, and on top of that it is accompanied with high mobility.

In what world are both supposed to be the same br? also, a big load of tanks in 6.7 up to 7.3 can piss on a Maus, so the argument of it being broken down there and unkillable is bs. The British conqueror is a prime example of a tank that betters the Maus, yet both are at the same BR!

I know what armor the Souma has, it is not like I never killed it from the sides, I am waiting to see any of you playing 3 games with the Maus facing the Souma and intentionally flank it instead of facing it head on. the side armor thing requires me to be lucky enough to run into a Souma that is not facing me at all with the Maus.

if it is all about armor, The Leopard 1 is at 8.0 and has no frontal armor, it has DM13 giving it 302 mms of pen at a distance of 1500 m at an angle of 0deg. Heat is 400. compare that to the conqueror that has a stock shell of 422 mms at a distance of 1500m at an angle of 0degs. the tank is at 7.7 and has better armor than the leopard 1 and clearly than the Somua.

I agree that it is dumb to bring the Somua to 8.3 I was just saying how are two things that clearly are not on the same level be on the same BR.

Just so that you know, the T92 can kill the Maus and pretty easy too.

My point still stands the Maus would be perfectly fine at 7.3. it would finally get some fun rides and eventually get killed by a flanker or two. it is quite easy to disable a Maus.

now a final comment on those who love to use “skill issue” to undermine any opinion that is trying to address an issue, it seems to be a big fat skill issue on your part to not be able to kill a Maus with tanks at 7.0-7.3 if not 6.7.

as for the Turm III, u can kill it with a panther II my guy, the hell are u talking about?

i was looking for a post like this since im grinding usa and holy shit i dont know how that vehicle is considered fair. i always see em on the combat log massacring everyone.

last match:
i was playing T34, pushing alongside a T95 + XM800T
it was on a destroyed city map and the somua was peeking camping a cap zone, we were pushing to cap it.

-T95 shoots at enemy (since it has big cannon i was expecting for it to receive damage), no damage, Somua Retreats
-XM800T attacks Somua trying to disable its cannon, fails, die by it.
-Somua peeks trough a window, he fires but hits bulding, i shoot at it (turret, expecting to pen or disabling his cannon or breech with the best ammo T34 can offer), no damage at all.
and since we have fucking +15 secs reload, after he fired he just advanced, fires at me, boom, frontal turret pen, disabled my whole turret. T95 stills reloading, Somua fires, Boom. T95 Dead, then boom fires at me and finishes me.

(and yeah you can say “huh maybe dont shoot at his turret and wait for him to come out” bro that thing obliterates any heavy tank, when i saw him aiming at me, if he managed to hit me i would be already dead, i fired at it trough the window as last try before dying, but since he failed the shoot and made me waste mine, we were fkd up)

basically if you find one and you cant see a weakspot you are dead

i dont get how that vehicle can be considered fair being a heavy tank with 100mm cannon, high pen and autoloader. most of the times you face it, it will just bounce or receive no damage due its armour. and since it has autoloader you only have 1 shoot meanwhile it can shoot like 4-5 times meanwhile you reload, like what the fuck im just using a ww2 tank with 20s reload facing that thing lol

I agree with this but i also realize that you simply can’t move it further up without it being unplayable. So what we really need is decompression. But then again, wierdly enough, i haven’t encountered any somua in 8.7 playing russia, US or germany, which is a bit odd

The damage model is also bullshit. You can shoot it in the middle with any non APHE and even with low caliber APHE and it still won’t even disable it sometimes
