Nerf Somua Sm

We just told you that there are multitudes of 5.7s who cannot penetrate the 6.7 tiger and you say we are “yapping” what kind of cope is that?

What we told you is extremely constructive and makes perfect sense.

“I can’t be invincible to a tank a full BR above me wah wah”

This is what Your suggestion is:

“I can’t deal with ‘X’ vehicle that is on +1 B.R. than my ‘Y’ vehicle, so uptier the ‘X’ vehicle”

If You want to suggest something it should apply to all, not just to what You want.

The only construtive reply by now was his.

Being faced with facts that Your own logic doesn’t stand when showed with different examples might hurt but this is what “constructive” discussion is.

You can’t expect rule to be applied to one scenario because “reasons”, when faced with another examples You start being defensive.

yet this suggestion just took the king tiger as an example, and the Somua SM as a “Target” to talk about.
I am not talking about anything in general, I am focusing on one tank, with an EXAMPLE tank.
If you have suggestions on how to fix BR’s do a post yourself, you are also forgetting how much cas America has over almost all BR’s.

How are people supposed to make a constructive discussion when you only mentions the volumetric, which every tank suffers to and the BR placement something you can’t just create a suggestion post.

Overall is just you complaining about the vehicle, a major issue and something that you can’t change and can’t suggest to change. If your idea is moving to 8.0, like Gaijin did with the Char 25t, making a prototype heavy tank from the late 40s fighting something of the early 60s.

Tiger 2 H is 7.7?

And constructive criticism shows You different examples explaining that Your example doesn’t really mean anything.

You want a rule to be placed without others saying “well, if this is how it works, now move ‘x’ vehicle!”

Let us assume Somua is moved to 8.0 so Your tiger II H can’t face it, but then someone suggests to move Tiger II H to 7.0 because his M4A3E2 can’t face it, so Tiger II H is at 7.0 and again meets Somua. At what point will we stop?

Char 25t is the same br as the leopard 1 lmfao… If it was on the german or american tree it would be no higher than 6.7

Also, compare tanks of equal BR, Germany has M48A2 C at 7.7 and it’s HEATFS can easily penetrate this.

Marder A1 7.7 who’s MILAN can turn this into Swiss cheese.

Somua SM is a very potent threat in a down tier yes, but do you know what it would be fighting if it goes up? Fully stabilized APFSDS firing tanks with laser rangefinders, some of which have thermals, like the M60A3 TTS. It already fights similar tanks in a full up tier, like the M60A1 RISE (P) and T-55AMD-1 and T-55AM-1. The Somua SM only has AP rounds and is un-stabilized, being at a major disadvantage against tanks it fights in a full up-tier, and it’s supposed to be like that. All tanks when in a full up-tier will struggle. That’s just how it is and how it is supposed to be. Your not supposed to be on par with a tank a full br level above you.

this isnt world of tanks, we do not simply decide that armor is not what it is irl and change it

anyway, somua is great but not really overpowered at 7.7 and raising it would probably kill it since the armor stops being relevant past 8.0 anyway and its an unstabilized conventional gun…

Okay, now try to pen (and kill) frontally basically ANY soviet tank at 7.7 and higher. Spoiler: you just can’t do it above 500m.

It has 40mm side armor, dude. Even the 8.8 can pen it at extremally high angles and probably get a one shot kill due the ammo racks in hull sides.

I don’t know what kind of skill issue you need to have to consider this tank invincible. To get at a normal k/d on it, a you must know the maps and weakspots/ammoracks of all enemies. And he NEVER plays on his BR. Constant 8.7.

To be honest, Gaijin really overstated Somua’s frontal armor, while distorting other characteristics as well.
But I don’t think it’s worth changing anything until the angled pen on the 100mm is changed and the turret is remodeled.

that’s mainly a problem of point and click gameplay, when you aim for vehicles where you just point and click and then face an enemy that you can’t point and click, you get people’s complaining that that vehicle is too op just because the player hasn’t practiced aiming at weakspots/flanking/cupola shooting/gun disabling/positioning/etc
