Need help with Germany air

Hi there everyone, I have decided to continue with Germany air and leave behind British air tree. However i need some help with rank 4. What is a good plane for rank 4 to use. Also I have decided to grind the squadron ME 262 (After grinding the Swiss hunter), is it a good plane to grind German rank 4? Also some general tips on how to play Germany rank 4 would really help.

Heard from a friend that it’s okay, works but it’s nothing to special most of the time aside from downtiers. The guns are quite lethal though a single bullet blew up the bombers he shot at multiple times, this was a while ago though so I dont know if its ballistics or damage was changed. I haven’t grinded Germany myself, but i think their shtick is similar to USA, mostly energy reliant fighters that like altitude and boom & zoom tactics. I don’t know much about their rank 5 jets though, Ho229 is funny but other than that i can’t help you much.

Go with the Fw-190-f8, unlock the big bomb, It’s a wonderful plane for cas, you can almost one-shot evry tank at his br

I don’t want to do CAS. What i really want is to get out of prop tier ASAP since i don’t really like playing props at all.

Get both fighter line, those are great for boom and zoom.

That is the plan for now. Also is the F-18 line worth it or should just stick with the Mig and EFT lineup and then later complete the Swiss line up?

yes, F-18 is fine.

If you hate props, I would suggest getting the Fw 190 F-8.
The 262 U4 is really good. The squadron 262 is overtiered.
The Ta 152 H is extremely strong.
109 K-4 is pretty strong too, in the right hands.

You can also research rank 4 with a rank 3 plane, if you have any you perform well with.

Why not use the Hunter to skip the props? Sure, it’ll take a bit more time to research, but at least you will have fun in a jet (presumably).

The 109s really start to get powercreeped in rank IV, you’ll need to start sideclimbing now and 1 mistake leads you to a +8k repair. If you want to know the difference between the 109 K-4 and G-10, the K-4 has an insane engine (lots of climbrate and energy), G-10 is very lightweight so it turns a little better due to lower wing loading but the engine is weaker so it is slower and climbs worse.

190s for you should be the D-12 ( x1 MK-108 and x2 Mg151/20s) and the Ta-152 H-1, skip the A family and steer clear of the Ta-152 C-3.

Mk-108s will make you curse a lot, their ballistics are horrible, imagine trying to shoot down a plane with a 15cm sIG 33 B Sfl, they are slow and have a lot of drag. You are going to miss the 20mils.
Mk-103 only suffers from very poor firerate.

Don’t lose your head over dying over and over, 5.7 and 6.3 are very poorly balanced, and a lot of experienced players like to play meta planes over there.

Your opponents no longer stall as predictably, they turn better (even american props), have better firepower and ballistics and climb on par or better than you.

Don’t bleed your speed, no more fancy vertical manouvers, boom and zoom reign now.
Mg151/20 w stealth belts will be your best friend here, they have a lot more muzzle velocity, since the first round in the belts determines the ballistics of all the rounds in the belt. And of course, is better for surprise boom and zoom attacks since you can spray without alerting the enemy most of the time (unless they use their ears).

(except the ta-152 H-1, if you use flaps on it you can win turnfights if you end the fight quickly enough, its 6.0 because it clubs everything with those, so don’t rip them.)

And play the 109 G-6 if you want the last crumbs of 109 glory you’ll have.

They sacrifice everything aspect of climbrate, turnrate, low speed control, ACCELERATION (very bad acceleration), ammo and usable cannons (except He-162) for speed.

Swiss addition was nice but F-18’s are pointless unless you have special love for them.

EFT’s are superior to f-18’s in anyway except the amount of missiles that can carry but since Hornet is so slow you can’t even utilize Amraams’s potential fully.

Stick with EFT line if your goal is endgame.

True, well then i would then stick to Mig-29 and EFT line for now

at rank 4 you can rlly start feeling that all the 109s are rlly able to do there is just climb cuz they get very heavy
id say you should use the g6 its a very strong 109 and its pretty easy to research cuz its so high up and foldered
you can also play the k4 its not amazing but its still pretty average for the normal 5.7 plane
NEVER use the g14 (g6 at 5.3 which is basically 5.7), ta152c(heavier 190d9(5.0) at 6.3 which is btw the same br as the p51h) and the g2 trop (worse f4 at 4.3)
just stay away from 190 as they are like they always were in this game

bad

the ta152h is the only thing you should even consider dogfighting in but it has bad climb
and the early jets all suck except the salamander and the pulkzerstörer which can be okay

like @iegaatdao already said dying at 5.7 is totally normal cuz of some very overperforming(you cant tell me the p51h fm is not made up) and some very overpowered(BI at 6.7?!?!?, lf mk9 at 5.7 yak3u/vk at 5.7 and so fourth) planes

but i need to correct them in one thing

the k4 even turns better
so the g10 is pointless

Currently I am using the 4.0 BF-109F to grind rank 4 (Which I have started to enjoy a bit). I am probably not going to use any rank 4 prop and grind rank 5 using the swiss hunter. Though I do have a question, should i use gun pods with the BF-109F?

before the 20mm patch i would have said yes
the 151/15 dont take that much perofrmance away anyways (something around 78kg)
but never use the 151/20 they weight 200kg and you need as much performance on the 109s that have them
same goes for 108 but they a a little bit lighter (something around 180kg)
you just wont hit shit with them
