Anyone here know the distance that you are placed behind the vehicle in 3rd person?
So far my test control has been the E2K at 625kp/h in 3rd person and with speed of sound switched off. Sound on average has a 0.80 second delay which places me at 139m behind the vehicle in 3rd person view.
Google says that the camera ranges from 50 to 100m. Can anyone confirm this? Cause if my finding is correct it will explain why sound render is a bit weird sometimes.
CC @Necronomica I know you have seen me in many a sound thread, maybe you can cast some light?

I sadly have nothing to contribute with here :/
After thinking about it for a bit i do have one thing i thought of, even with speed of sound turned of there might still be some effects of it active but not in a orthogonal direction and only in a parallel direction. Try doing the same test but standing still on the ground as well as at Mach 0.99.
625km/h is about half the speed of sound so it would make sense if the distance is ~140m if you calculated without taking it into account, just logically half of 140 is 70 which is in the middle of the 50-100m google gave you (if the distance changes with speed relative to speed of sound from 50m to 100m then halfway speed of sound would extend the camera halfway, i.e ~75m).
I might be completely wrong here, i just got it as a gut feeling.
ye math checks out.
Gonna get back at this again later tonight. If the scaling runs linear though should be ideal and would assume it runs linear but what I have noticed last night is that it feels more exponential / capped.
Right now it feels like DSP desync is what is causing some of the audio rendering issues we are experiencing.
