Greetings everyone, i need help indentifying what is this thing found on the nose of Jaguar IS

AFAIK it’s the IFF system (think of the “bird slicer” on F-16 and F-18)
It’s only on the DARIN III versions of Jaguar IS

The stage 2 DARIN II says something about IFF, but I guess it’s a different one.

Nope, they are not DARIN III, they are DARIN II, as you can see here.

You’re right sorry. Darin III is the one with the EL/M-2052 radar that has the IFF bumps.
The TMV-36 nose is the Darin II which later got IFF rather than full Darin III upgrade
