My main problem with naval is honestly compression. I’m currently spading light cruisers and in a downtier I’m basically farming destroyers who outside of a bunch of them ganging up on me or getting incredibly lucky can do very little to me.
In uptiers I’m facing heavy cruisers and battleships who can just ammo rack me with a single lucky shot or blast me to smitherens in short order.
No, because I’d rather fight ships that are somewhat equivalent. Switching between curbstomping and being curbstomped isn’t the most fun activity to me.
What absolute nonsense, at most BR’s you meet stuff you can realistically fight or outplay in Air and Ground. Naval with almost zero real input beyond “who brings the biggest boots to the shin kicking contest” is the only mode where you can’t really get yourself in an advantageous position yet has the biggest disparity in terms of vehicle strength.
You can fight and outplay cruiser with destroyer, and destroyers is a menace for sluggish battleships.
Same for boats vs Destroyers or any big ships. You just need to play smart. But if you don’t want, then charge strait at bigger enemy die and go complain on forum.
Do you expect average AA vehicle to fight heavy tanks in frontal projection?
When you reach battleships you will understand that even same class ships played differently against each other.
Do you think they will model the torps that didnt have a trail as such in the future? Apparently Type 93s (and possibly other torpedo types) used pure oxygen and not air to burn fuel, as did most allied torpedoes, thus not leaving an as clearly visible bubble trail.
I think that might be a bit too strong giving the torpedo type that already dwarves every single other type of torpedo in game basically invisibility. (They have: Longest range, tied with some others, by far highest speed and by far (almsot double) the explosive mass of any other torp.
though, ofc it should strive for realism but i dont think setting the long lances even further apart from their contemporaries isnt a good idea atm. maybe with homing torpedoes, or simply make their trail harder to see but not basically invisible.
EDIT: wait a second…torpedo foam parameters??? but thats for (i think i heard there was something like this) the protection system that works with some sort of foam among others and has nothing to do with the trails?
Damn if it is then what im afraid of might exactly be what is happening. 15 long lances on incredibly fast destroyers is already crazy strong, if you can’t see they are coming that just makes it annoying imo…I hope you will at least see the oxygen torpedoes somehow and not that they are invisible…93 kph invisible torps that basically oneshot every ship besides the 8.7s will be annoying af.
