So, as the topic suggests,
I would like to say RN Attilio Regolo (1942) BR4.7 should be reclassified as a destroyer so that it can respawn at DD respawn point with other destroyers. And also providing a decent destroyer at 4.7 for Italian naval tree.
That or just give all small cruisers a destroyer spawns as that thing ain’t fun with it’s spawn imo.
Odd note Italy does already have a cruiser classed as a destroyer the RN Aquila a Vifor class destroyer that apon completion was rerated as a scout cruiser & the ship in game is stated as 1917 so it should probably be rated as one.
Plus not like the devs care about proper ship classifications when a Battleship is a Battlecruiser and a Heavy Cruiser is one as well ntm a destroyer being a frigate and a corvette being one as well plus a corvette without “ANY!” ASW equipment being a subchaser…

All the capitani romani were reclassified as destroyers after the war, I think is quite possible to consider it a destroyer in warthunder.
Yeah agreed and others as well they need to add a new classification such as destroyer leader the IJN has many of these such as the Kumas etcs. Change them from CLs to destroyer Leaders and put them in destroyer spawn.
As a large destroyer or destroyer leader, Tashkent is classified as normal destroyer. Also p40 was classified as heavy tank by Italian military but medium tank in game.Graf Spee is classified correctly as heavy cruiser but not battle ship as well. Many naval researchers and I believe the way to classify a ship is to look what’s the usage of them. Obviously Capitani Romani class“ were built as a better destroyer than French and her mission is to do the same job as destroyer leaders. That’s why in real history she was reclassified by Italian themselves as destroyer after WWII. Gaijin needs to consider Italian doesn’t have a decent 4.7 destroyer in game on the other hand.
