so theres something fundementally wrong with these BRs look at the wyoming it has a turtle back and very thick belt one of the best 6.7s at its tier USS texas same br is worse in every way but pen its actually kinda crazy cant even pen it when it angles with 14 inch guns its so disappointing and the wyoming goes straight through due to not having a turtle back
its a problem across multiple countries look at germanys 6.0 dreadnought its 11Inch guns are great for heavy cruiser combating like against the des moines but a DD at 5.0 faces basically certain death and it cant go any higher as it would in counter many more much stronger 7.0s and 7.3s which it basically is useless against
and there never gonna fix it do to basically no one playing naval so gaijin puts no effort in
what do you suggest they do my opinion we need .7 increase between brs of all brs
also current maps are too big for most BB ww1 BBs cant hit reliably past 6 miles and any ww2 bb will clap them due to having way better range finders
Wyoming really isn’t that difficult to kill. It suffers the same issue every american dreadnought faces; 40 second reload aced.
You want pain, try being a 5.3 SAP/HE CL and face a 5.7 to 6.3 battlecruiser or battleship.
GOOD LUCK. YOU’LL NEED IT.
As for Fargo, Des Moines and other 6.x american cruisers; I have zero sympathy. That firerate is obnoxious and with damage control changes next patch (if they go through), these ships are going to go from borderline to blatantly overpowered.
I stand corrected; been a while since I looked at the stats and I immediately blanked to American 35.6cm (and higher, barring Iowa) rate of fire but they’re still small caliber with alright penetration. Fire rate is definitely a surprise though.
but when it has to deal with anything of same tier it really isn’t that great. It can be annoying durable due to RNG but there’s far more dangerous 6.7 ships.
