5x M1A1 tanks had DU inserts in the hull but were deemed too heavy and are not in service, positioned outside army schools. There are no active duty or production M1’s with DU hull inserts according to reliable public information.

That 4000lbs of thrust would be nice considering the current in-game AIM-54 sits at a measly 3226 lbs of thrust…

" We’ve been instructed not to cite ODIN in our own military studies, thesis, etc. It’s not a reliable source, some human resources personnel likely wrote that after perusing wikipedia "

The Odin website is directly from the U.S Government.

Im sorry who are you again?

oh AND BTW the M1A2 in the game with the Missile Disruption APS? Thats the actual U.S.M.C Sep, that gaijin hasnt figured out yet, Just like gaijin still has the wrong Model for the M3 bradley IN-game, just like how they haven’t given the M3A3 Bradley its Titanium Armor yet. Gaijin sources are so backwards its sad.

Is Literally the wrong model Bradley

So you know the Marines M1A1 have been upgraded to the Sep V3 Variant right?

It’s not a “SEP”. The Marines never used an M1A2, it’s just an M1A1 with similar digital enhancement & upgrades (of which DU hull armor is not one of them). The weight increases correlate with the additional turret weight stated on the tank turret and hull informational / serial # plates. There is no depleted uranium armor in the hull for M1A1 AIM, M1A2 variants.

The Marines no longer have Abrams.

That was a trick question. :) I just wanted to see if you actually knew it

Generally you wouldn’t want to ask something that’s been readily apparent for years in that case.

Oh no i do stuff like that because i’ve caught Airmen impersonating other airmen, and showing their I.D over on discord before. You never know when someone on the internet is simply talking out of their asses.

there are people who dont know this.

Well, in any case… being a crewman doesn’t mean anything in relation to the argument. You just asked.

Public sources make it clear that no Abrams has DU hull inserts in active service unless new information is revealed saying otherwise for SEPV2/3 or something in the future. The SEP in-game certainly shouldn’t have DU in the hull and neither should the AIM.

Public sources
[/quote] I’ve gone all over the internet as far back as 1988 finding new articles on the M1Abrams all the way to the current sep variants.
Public Sources? That why i linked the ODIN website and the VA website, they are both public sources, stating that the M1A2 SEP Did.

Oh and btw, this right here, doesn’t mean anything this is just something people keep repeating over and over. The tanks could move, unless you think they placed the D.U inserts onto the tanks in-place outside the " Army School "

They’re still there today afaik. They’re not for service.
ODIN is not a reliable source. Pointing out that it’s government means nothing, Even the F-14 NATOPS has incorrect weight for the AIM-54 for example.

If they are still their today of course they aren’t for service, whats 20 years in the rain going to do to a tank .

A Masters thesis at hte academy is NOT a primary source!!

It is Masters level research - exactly what it says it is.
