NATO vs Russian MBTs barrel armor/non existent trunnion armor

Russian MBTs seem to have way to much barrel armor compared to NATO MBTs.

Most, if not all, NATO MBTs have between ~150-500mm of equivalent protection when looking down the barrel. Generally, shots made here destroy the barrel along with the breech, sometimes penetrating into the fighting compartment like on the leopard 2s. On the other hand, Russian MBTs have minimum 900mm of equivalent protection, making it impossible to destroy the breech or penetrate the fighting compartment.

It just seems kinda unfair.

Update:
I did some more testing and I think I found the problem. The trunnions on Russian MBTs behave like solid pieces of armor despite being hollow cylinders so when you shoot down the barrel it reaches the trunnion and can’t pen.

It seems to be a case of misunderstanding for not saying something worse, regardless of what the armor analysis is showing a hit in the barrel (most of the time) is a damaged barrel, as if, me, in my tank I’ll be focusing on shooting through the barrel and the breech instead of more easier weakspots. Honestly people nowadays are urging to find something to blame some kind of advantage with Russian main battle tanks.
