Nanchang Q-5 History, Performance & Discussion

in one there are 2 cm-s more

Hopefully devs actually implement the bug report since the new evidence literally says Q-5L in it so unless they labeled it as AI is pretty much undeniable proof

Or watch them accept it and take 3 years to implement it

my bad I miscounted

The type of countermeasure is also written on the plane

Do you know what early 941 labeled or is it just 941?

Unfortunately, we do not have a high-quality photo of the CM from any Q-5.
Judging by the shape of the cover, I assume the Q-5 should be equipped with two countermeasure units of a standard caliber - this 64 or 68 CM-s, depending on which dispenser you choose
I only have this photo

I don’t know

Q-5 early able to take small bombs alongside bo.b bay?

With the upcoming BR changes the Q-5L will be able to face the ADATS in a full uptier and the TOR/2S6 on regular basis+ everything lower

A5C is also in bad position. 11.0 in air RB with just two rear aspect missiles

higher then J-7C btw

Even worse thing is that MiG-23Ms now have lower BR than this

I genuinely want to know their train of thought to pretty much butcher a lot of attack aircraft, the only saving grace is that Q-5L was spared from facing PANTSIRS unlike A-7s but it just doesn’t make sense, it almost feels like “instead of adding proper AA systems to counter not-so advanced attack aircraft we are just gonna send them to face stupidly powerful AA that defeats their entire existence”, quite convenient that the PANTSIR is left at 12.3 instead of 12.7

Also on a side note unrelated to Q-5s, devs still try to insist that VT-4 is comparable to 99A and WZ which is not and QN506 is going to 10.3 with 0 fixes implemented

Who thought about this?

But A-10A gets to sit at 10.3 with a ton of countermeasures, all aspect AAM facing flareless 9.3 aircraft and only being held by the nitwits that buy it as their first jet

Excellent job from the balancing department, A5C is clearly the biggest menace

What is the source of this photo?
The wing fence is located too close to the fuselage

better picture

That makes sense, then. The same pylon as on the GB-250/500
