im not 100% sure what armor do they use if SLERA or NERA but the array seems to be made specifically to be in a sharp angle to use as much of the ERA effect as possible on incomming projectiles, aka its hollow
The Namer in the back shows how much should be hollow and how much should be armor, it’s definitely much more substance than the actually hollow wedges on the front of a Leopard 2A5.
Guys, you gotta understand that the Namer is 64 tons and the Merkava is 65, moreover common sense doesn’t exist in this game, let the Merkava’s turret weigh 1 ton (just the barrel weighs that but hey, not questioning) I’ve done my maths, if the turret of the Merkava is 1 ton and the weigh of the turret on other tanks is on average 25% of the entire tank, my super common sense mathematical mind tells me the tank weighs 4 tons, which would mean that the HP/T would be 375HP/T, so prepare to go mach jesus with this one. Apparently the armor on the Namer Tsrikhon is weighless too, as the turret doesn’t increase the weigh.
Moreover, the mobility of the Namer is that of a truck, I once had to fight against a Leclerc and it was nightmarish, I like light tanks but damn, the Namer is difficult to play, and close quarters is suicidal unless you’re carrying Spikes on the Namer 30 (MK258s are nothing and you can’t ‘lead’ the spikes vertically on the Namer Tsrikhon)
I got penetrated a few times by 30mm APFSDS shells, right in this place where it should contain this huge armor part, which is completely missing in the game
I mean the logic of being hollow Is to make the effect of the ERA actually do something if you dont leave space for the Shell to deform It wont do much, and idk if there Is any armor behind the hollow wedges
