Honestly, it’s a neat plane so it has my +1, not to mention Japan needs all the vehicles it can get. Honestly, I don’t see the issue with paper things, as long as they’re fully designed and finalized I say go ahead and add them. There seems to be this unnatural fear that just because a couple of paper things are added we’re all of a sudden going to have WoT 2.0 rather than WT. But honestly, this game has a long way to go before it becomes anything like WoT, just my two cents

For the R2Y2 the fuselage of the aircraft was built and flown as the R2Y Keiun, the R2Y2 Keiun Kai was a proposal to replace its Aichi Ha-70 piston engine with 2 Mitsubishi Ne-330 Turbo-Jets. While the Ne-330 was an unfinished prototype the air frame was proto-typed and flew in its prop configuration.

Is it possible that two versions, one with the Ne-130 and one with the Ne-230, could be added? Specifically for the gap between the Ki-84 hei and the Ki-200, as that is a huge gap and anything that could cover it (two fighters in this instance) would be helpful.

+1, from reading the discussion above I’m convinced it scrapes past the realm of fantasy, and it fulfills a very longstanding gap in the Japanese tree. Discussion of the Ki-201 date back since when the Korean War was the official cutoff of the game, and its high time it finally makes its presence in game, and back then, instead of the Ki-201, we got the R2Y2 family – which, at least for the V1 is fine, save for the entirely fictional Ne330 engines, but the subsequent variants which changed up aerodynamic/intake configuration were definitely too far imo (made sense for back then’s game balancing at least)

Regarding comparison to the F-16AJ situation, I believe its inclusion in the game is a “temporary positive”, it was fine given Japan would’ve had to wait an entire additional year to catch up with the F-15J, but now there should be serious plans to replace it with a real F-16 variant, and it seems a Thai F-16A is the perfect contender especially if a Thai subtree were to happen.

The real Ho-Ri was partially built, but it was based on a Chi-Ri hull without the steeply angled UFP we see in-game.

Overall +1 for the suggestion, however I believe many are voting for the Ne-230 over the Ne-130 because it has a higher number in the name, despite having lower thrust.

Maybe in the future put that poll at the bottom or after the engine section.

Ki-201 should absolutely be added, many don’t realize that axis nations where not able to continue making vehicles after the war(unlike allies). Any flushed out “paper or unfinished prototype or mockup” should be added to axis nations. I’ve made a tech tree in the tech tree maker of all possible vehicles, and there are many things in my research that could be added to rank V. The more the merrier for axis.

would be nice to see, although not sure where in the tech tree it would fit

Directly after the Kikka would seem to be the best place IMO
