+1, from reading the discussion above I’m convinced it scrapes past the realm of fantasy, and it fulfills a very longstanding gap in the Japanese tree. Discussion of the Ki-201 date back since when the Korean War was the official cutoff of the game, and its high time it finally makes its presence in game, and back then, instead of the Ki-201, we got the R2Y2 family – which, at least for the V1 is fine, save for the entirely fictional Ne330 engines, but the subsequent variants which changed up aerodynamic/intake configuration were definitely too far imo (made sense for back then’s game balancing at least)
Regarding comparison to the F-16AJ situation, I believe its inclusion in the game is a “temporary positive”, it was fine given Japan would’ve had to wait an entire additional year to catch up with the F-15J, but now there should be serious plans to replace it with a real F-16 variant, and it seems a Thai F-16A is the perfect contender especially if a Thai subtree were to happen.
Overall +1 for the suggestion, however I believe many are voting for the Ne-230 over the Ne-130 because it has a higher number in the name, despite having lower thrust.
Maybe in the future put that poll at the bottom or after the engine section.
Ki-201 should absolutely be added, many don’t realize that axis nations where not able to continue making vehicles after the war(unlike allies). Any flushed out “paper or unfinished prototype or mockup” should be added to axis nations. I’ve made a tech tree in the tech tree maker of all possible vehicles, and there are many things in my research that could be added to rank V. The more the merrier for axis.
+1
The second kikka is a prototype, so it’s hard to say. Vampir would be 95% Premium/Event aircraft. The T-1s have average performance, so they could be ahead of the F-86.
Oh I just came up with something, instead of using one engine we can use both. We could have a early and late variant, gameplay wise the late variant has the Ne-230 engine trading in some speed for a more durable engine that way we can get two Ki-201s instead of just one!
This idea could be extended to other aircraft using the same engine to? If we get some…
